It adds underground settlements with creatures very similar to villagers, along with their own structures and trading system. It fits surprisingly well with vanilla Minecraft.

There's also an Unofficial Bugfix Release that fixes an important trading issue.

Honestly, a very underrated mod for Forge 1.20.1.

I've been playing Faithful Backrooms recently, and I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it. It features multiple handcrafted levels, unique entities, a creepy atmosphere, and plenty of attention to detail. It really captures the Backrooms vibe while adding its own ideas.

MC Dungeons: Reimagined is a mod that aims to bring the content of Minecraft Dungeons into Minecraft Java in a fresh, reimagined way. It plans to add virtually everything from the Minecraft Dungeons End, including custom End sky, biomes, new structures, enemies, bosses, gear, and much more.

A while ago I made a post asking if there were any Minecraft 1.20.1 mods that actually made the End feel better. Guess what? I think I finally found one!

Just so you know, this mod isn’t mine or anything, I’m just some dude who loves digging up cool mods and sharing the good ones. Especially those big ambitious lil’ projects that deserve way more attention.

Anyway, let me introduce you to Mofu's Better End (or Mofu's Broken Constellation, as it’s also called). Honestly guys, this mod has the potential to become one of the greatest End mods ever made.

What really got me is that it doesn’t just add a few random things and call it quits. It throws in new mobs, bosses, structures, weapons, actual lore, and even a whole extra dimension called the Broken Constellation that you unlock later on.

From what I’ve played around with, there’s already a ton of stuff to explore, and the upcoming 1.0 update looks absolutely massive more bosses, more creatures, more story , and loads more content

this might just be the mod you’ve been waiting for. It’s seriously one of the most promising projects I’ve seen in ages.

I’m putting together a “definitive” modpack for this version, and I’d like to know if there are any upcoming or unreleased Forge 1.20.1 mods that are still in development.

I’m specifically looking for something that overhauls the End with new biomes, mobs, and mechanics basically an End Update. (this image is from eternal end addon)

I recently came across the Bird Watching Mod and I just wanted to share it because it really caught my attention. It’s one of the few bird mods that actually feels like it belongs in Minecraft. The birds fit really well with the vanilla style, and nothing feels out of place or overdesigned.

The animations are smooth, the mechanics are simple but well implemented, and overall it just adds a nice bit of life to the world without changing the game’s core vibe.

The mod can already be downloaded through the project's Discord server, but sadly it is not yet available on CurseForge or Modrinth. Hopefully that will change in the future.

From what has been shown so far, Penumbra Phantasm has an incredible artistic direction, featuring dark worlds, unique environments, massive structures, and an atmosphere that truly stands out from most Minecraft dimension mods.

Personally, I think it has a huge amount of potential and could become one of the most impressive mods available for Forge 1.20.1.

Gaucho is a mod that includes a variety of new content related to the gaucho culture originated from Argentina as well as the Guaranies from Paraguay, considering they shared many beliefs, myths and traditions.
