Yubikey (NFC) Friendly Key Organizers?

So I have a keyport pivot and I like it a lot. Keeps my keys compact and great to use my yubikey as a usb device. But when I need to use it as an nfc device with my android phone, I don't know if it is the bar on the side or the metal of my keys, but it breaks all functionality.

I've seen some solutions that effectively print a holster/mold to pop the yubikey in and out of and... that feels like I am all but guaranteeing that somebody posts on the "what is this" board after they find it on a train.

Anyone have any suggestions? I am tentatively fine with buying a new key organizer of a similar style.

Keepass-likes: Syncing and Hardware 2FA

Yet another "I currently use bitwarden but..." post!

I used Keepass for... about a decade? And I liked it a lot and, truth be told, still prefer that interface and approach to trusting a third party. Like, I'll be honest, I think Bitwarden Corp moving the "folders" view bothers me more than everything else... I'm an ally!

Syncing between devices with keepass was always the mess but... not THAT big of one. Server is the ground truth and, as I make changes, I push those to the server and then pull them to other devices. And my modern setup makes this a lot easier to do even if I realize I forgot to pull while I am on the plane. Because the reality is that I am not changing or adding new accounts THAT often.

Except for one big issue. I REALLY like hardware 2fa. So... yubikeys. Optimally with a fallback but that is a different rant. But the issue with these is that they aren't time based and are instead (simplifying) sequence based. So suddenly I need to keep all copies of the database more or less in sync, otherwise my yubikey needs to be re-synced with the database and it kind of defeats the purpose?

Have there been any advances or practices to address this?

Yes, I know Vaultwarden is a solution and am looking into it. But I view that as similar to email where it is something that, if I DO host, I need to not host on my own hardware because I can't lose access to all of my passwords on holiday because a server went down and none of my trusted button pushers are qualified to debug over a 13 hour offset on the phone.

Jak 3 Questions

So what started as being reminded how good Jak 1 was on the Remap platformer podcast/stream ended up being replaying the first three. 1 is a genuinely amazing platformer that still holds up to this day. And... I have a lot of four letter words about Jak 2. But 3 was mostly good.

But 3 also feels like it must have been in massive development hell? I don't remember anything back in the day but I was also a kid and only had OPM at the time and... zero chance that outlet was going to talk about what had already become a flagship "second party" studio having problems. But... what the flip was the deal with 3?

Keira was basically non-existent. I assume that is because the original VA didn't come back for whatever reason and maybe the director had a thing for Ashelin but... still. Actually started laughing when Jak and Daxter return to the city after their three day exile and she is just silently waving from behind Samos.

But... basically all of the supporting cast just felt non-existent? Do we know if it is a case where the idea was to spend a lot more time with the Wastelanders but ND/Sony got cold feet and chose the worst of both worlds? It was just so weird after 2 did such a good job of building out a supporting cast and then it felt like they forgot that Torn was a thing outside of like three missions. But even Onin and Samos felt kinda background? Like a lot of the artifact quests felt like there should have been a geezer telling me to go grab stuff? Not complaining about less driving back and forth but... still.

And spending most of the game in the Wasteland would have explained why Ashelin never explained to Jak that "The Kid" was Damas's son and all that entailed. Since Sig was "dead" during the entire endgame of 2 and had the excuse of not knowing that Jak was the star child.

And... I'll fully acknowledge I might have been distracted by an angry kitty but... did the Dark and Light eco gems actually serve any purpose? I had completely forgotten they were a thing since my original playthroughs and... it seems like Naughty Dog did too? I assume the idea would have been to increase your light and dark gauges before deciding just to start those at max?

And I guess bonus Jak 2 questions: I checked the secrets tab before exiting out post game and saw the weapon and vehicle upgrades. I am kinda afraid to reinstall but... were those in Jak 2 too? And was I supposed to have spent orbs so that my vehicles wouldn't explode constantly?

And did we ever figure out what Young Samos meant by being back before "the celebration"? I know the J&D games weren't really that plot heavy but... still.

Thanks

So I've dabbled with gyro aiming over the years (... closer to two decades than not now that I think about it...) and I've never really "gotten" it. I know, conceptually, the common idea is that you still do most of the aiming with the stick (or pad) but add gyro aiming on top of that to add intuitive fine aiming. And I've increasingly been trying to use a gamepad when possible to save my wrists and would like to see if I can actually tolerate all but the most call of duty of FPSes on a gamepad.

Most of the Controller 2 reviews all clearly read the same ad copy that likely came from a Valve engineer who micro doses heroin. "Only turn on gyro aiming when you put your thumb on the analog stick... or the controller itself". Like... I acknowledge I have a deeply weird relationship with gamepads but pretty sure even normies default to having a thumb on the right analog stick as the default. I haven't futzed yet but I assume a more "logical" take would be to only enable it when the L2 axis is engaged.

And I tried to look at the gyro aiming board on reddit and... pretty sure those are the people who unironically used the "I'm using motion controls" emote in mario. Live your truth and all that but that ain't me.

And a few of the controller reviews have tried to talk about it but it is clear the "host" doesn't use them as you get stuff like "I added a clutch so I can rotate my controller to play Asseto Corsa" or you have incredibly awkward filming setups where they actively can't show anything off because the controller is already bumping against the monitor just to show it at all.

So can anyone recommend a good blog site or youtube video that actually demonstrates and walks through the logic of gyro+control surface aiming?

Thanks

So I am on my bullshit again and playing more TOME. Yes, it fails the Berlin test (I think mostly for the metaprogression) but it is still probably the single most balanced roguelike I've ever played and said metaprogression means basically every run (for the first four or five years) feels meaningful. And I still think their approach towards early game manages to be a good balance of autopilot and worth doing.

But TOME hasn't been updated in like 3 years. No, it doesn't "need" it but it still harshes the whole "every run is meaningful" thing.

So any recommendations for similar games?

Thanks
