My first ace while undergoing chemo

Hey everyone, while undergoing chemo for the past 5 months I’ve had a lot of extra time and I’ve been looking for a game to really sink my teeth into with all the free time I have. After months I finally found Siege, I haven’t played since the year it came out and lemme tell ya, this game has the steepest learning curve out of every competitive FPS imo. Tonight while I was doing chemo (my treatment is 5 days straight 24/7 I take a bag home with me everyday) I decided to boot up Siege cause I was feining to play. Got my first ever ace since I started playing, while on chemo no less. I know it’s only in unranked (I’m hard stuck in gold 5/silver 1 rn) but still proud of it non the less.

A more pronounced feeling of fatigue/unwellness the further you get into chemo?

Hey everyone, I’m currently on R-EPOCH chemotherapy regiment. I get chemo 5 days straight for 24 hours. I just finished round 4/6 on Friday and am on my neutropenic week. I noticed starting Saturday I get periods of just straight up feeling like shit, then it goes away after I nap or eat something, then it comes back. Rinse and repeat since then. I haven’t experienced this at all during my chemotherapy. Usually around the Monday after my chemo week I start feeling pretty good. More energy and better mental state. But this week I just get those feelings of being unwell. It’s hard to explain how it feels like, really bad fatigue but something else added onto it. Is this normal the further you get into chemo because this is all new to me. Thank you!

Recommend me movies/tv shows and games to distract me during chemo.

Hi, I’m sorry if this is not allowed in this subreddit so feel free to delete if needed. I’m currently undergoing R-EPOCH which is 24/7 5 days straight. So I come home to continue chemo after going to the infusion center. My chemo weeks get really boring and I just tend to scroll on YouTube shorts all the time which is ruining my attention span. So please recommend me lesser known but great media I can consume. Any recommendations are welcome whether they are well known or obscure. Thanks!

Prednisone question

Hello everyone, I will be on my 3rd round of R-EPOCH starting today. 5 days straight 24/7. My doctor prescribes me 120mg of prednisone and I’m to take it twice a day so 240mg daily. On the last night of my last round I started getting heart palpitations that would happen every 5-10 minutes and lasted well over 12 hours. It was extremely scary. I called the on call oncologist and he pretty much said there’s nothing to do. I told my oncologist about this and he said to keep an eye on it. I didn’t think it was from the prednisone at the time cause my last dose was 10ish hours before my heart palpitations. I was extremely dehydrated at the time so I chalked it up to that. Has anyone else had heart palpitations while on R-EPOCH or prednisone in general? Thanks!

Coming off 240 mg of Prednisone

Hello everyone, I’m currently doing R-EPOCH treatment and just wrapped up my 2nd round of chemo. It’s 24-7 5 days a week so I take home a bag and let the chemo do its thing. During this whole week I’ve been taking 240 mg of Prednisone as part of the chemo regimen. But the problem is my oncologist is not tapering me off of this dose and letting me quit cold turkey. My first round of chemo was only 120 mg prednisone and really sucked coming off of cold turkey so I called and they tapered me. My doctor doesn’t want to do that this time as it can mess up my adrenal glands he says.

Has anyone experienced cold turkey off of this much steroid and does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks!
