Can an ID be submitted after the application has been sent in?

Im applying for 8 people in my family, including myself. In doing a final check of all
My records I realized that three of my family have only a drivers license for an ID. The rules state they must have two ID’s, one with a picture and the other must have the name and dob on it.

My understanding is ID’s are the gateway to getting the applications accepted. Those three people are now applying for passports in order to have the reign documents since they can find nothing else. That, of course, adds many more weeks before I can send in my applications.

My question is, can I send in the applications now and add the additional ID’s when they come? Or is not having the proper ID’s an automatic send back.

Questions about ID’s

I’m applying for nine members in my family including myself. Some of the people don’t have passports so we are scrambling to find what they can use. Initially they gave me their drivers license and social security card. Then I read that Canada doesn’t accept those or cards like them. So we reverted to medical insurance cards, but I’m not sure if they will accept them either. My granddaughter is going to use her college student ID. I’m hoping that will work, but we’ve run into a brick wall with the others. I read the rules on ID’s and they mentioned that a birth certificate could be used as an ID. Please help me figure out what they can use for a second ID. Thank you!

My biological daughter was adopted by my second husband. I am in the Canadian line.

My biological daughter from my first marriage was subsequently adopted by my second husband. My great-grandmother was Canadian and I have proof of this line. Do I have to apply for her under Adopted citizens? or under biological citizens? The rest of my family depends on her status.
