9 - The Dark Side. Hot take here. I reaaally can't take anything memorable from this... repetitive tune. It's fine ig, but way overrated by the sub imo.

8 - Blockades. Very "cool kid" lyrics, but the instrumentalization is okay.

7 - Thought Contagion. THOoOoUGHT CONTAaAaATIOoN

6 - Propaganda. Slutty and sexy. I never got the hate, it's a fun poppy tune.

5 - Pressure. Suffers from being 1 minute too long, but a great song nevertheless.

4 - Algorithm. The best intro for the album for sure! Really encapsulates the 80s sound & feel.

3 - Dig Down. My child. Lyrics are faithful without much innuendo, it's groovy, and has a great finish! I'll defend this one till I die.

2 - Break It To Me. They nailed the experimentation. I don't think any Muse song sounds like this one, it's pretty unique, they nailed it.

1 - The Void. A spectacular finish! It's got an amazing spatial feeling, very similar to TW!S I'd say, makes you feel lost and stranded. The synth at the end is chef's kiss!

I want to address that the UCLA Marching Band take of Pressure is a bop! This might be biased (I'm from South America where troupes and parades are pretty common) but it gets my body moving for sure! I've even blasted it in some parties and it got positive reactions🤭

Today I decided to blast BH&R, the best album in existence, again after some time, and I've admittedly forgotten what a masterpiece Hoodoo is. An absolute beast of a ballad, captivating while dark. "I had recurring nightmares / where I was loved for who I am" Genius.

Go hear that one again if you haven't for a long time.

I finally got some good quality headphones, and got to taste this again. I had thought that HoC was a boring song, but it's actually gorgeous. The atmosphere is just beautiful along with the lyrics.

I guess the song talks about lovers that want to leave everything behind and finally build a new life together; your "house of cards" (current life) being prone to collapse (fall off the table, get swept under), so I'll do mine - with you. I want to hear other interpretations as well!

Hi, new here. Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but where's a good starting point if I'm not keen into that kind of heaviness? I tried Koi No Yokan but I genuinely got tired after the first 3 tracks.

Idk, I can't just listen to music in public. I need good headphones and taste every bit and instrument to immerse myself in the experience of hearing a song. I tend to get a lot of frisson even listening to the same song for months. I'd even say I can't do ANYTHING else when listening to music. Am I that strange?
