Getting blueballed by BigModel.CN

Everyday for the last three weeks, I wake up 5 minutes before the supposed 'restock', which is 5 AM my time. Every day, 3 minutes before restock time, it says "too many people are buying", and continues that for anywhere between 8-31 minutes before hitting me with the temporarily sold out.

I've verified my passport and chinese phone number - wondering if even after that anyone has found any useful services as an alternative. I'm really hesitant to use smaller companies, and prefer well known brands. Someone mentioned xfyun, I've heard of 硅基流动, but if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.

Anta Fold H1 Review - 9.5/10 [Black Pair] - Thoughts?

I want to preface this by saying I'm not a competitive runner. I usually run around 5 km every other day, but I don't race. These are my first impressions after roughly 10 km of walking and a 5 km run. I'll update this review after a few weeks of use.

Anta H1 Fold Review:

Comfort: 9.5/10

Flexibility: 8/10

Stability: 10/10

Cushioning: 9/10

Support: 9/10

Overall: 9.5/10

Ok so I picked these shoes up for 599 RMB /~$88 USD at time of writing. The shoes were released on June 16th, and bought on June 25th, 2026.

I was deciding between a walking pair they had, and these, but the soles convinced me to try them on. They have great bounce to them, but not so much that it feels like its unstable. They are firm, but extremely bouncy, and on my run today, I hit my PR /km. I'm on the heavier side and normally average around 7:15-7:40/km. On my first run in these I consistently sat between 5:50-6:15/km. There were certainly other factors involved, but the shoes felt noticeably more responsive and made maintaining a quicker pace feel easier.

These have essentially no water resistance, the top of the shoes are mesh, while the bottoms really do look like tank treads. I stepped into a puddle, and it soaked my sock, so I think its important to understand the limitation of these in inclement weather.

I also felt the traction on the bottom of the shoes wasn't great on slippery surfaces, its definitely not an adequate trail show, but for dry outdoor running these are my new go-to's.

Additionally, for walking these have a great balance of firmness to bounce. I believe Anta has a more comfortable pure walking shoe, but I don't think that would be adequate for any kind of decent running.

At this point, I'm debating going back to buy a 2nd pair of these just in case something happens to these, but trying to justify it against my current OnClouds + Nike Pegasus Trail 5 Goretex's.

Overall, I highly recommend them for people who are looking for an everyday pair of shoes. These may not be for professional runners, but these are extremely comfortable, and considering I spent ~$200 for OnCloud Cloud 6's, these are a steal.

I'd like to see how these hold up over time, but initial impressions are these unreal value for money, and overall are f'n great.

Anta H1 Fold - Anyone given this new shoe a try?

These shoes were released by Anta on June 16th, so about 9 days old at the time of writing. I happened to be visiting china and see these at a price of ~$88 USD. They seem really cool, and significantly cheaper than my OnClouds.

Wondering if anyone has given these a shot and if there is any real reviews of these. I'm looking at them as daily runners under 10k (my runs are typically around 5k).

Thank you!

Ji Hotel or Yi Zhi Hotel?

Trip.com has such high rating for both of these. They are both tied for #5 ranked 4 star hotels in guangzhou, but I'm really concerned because the booking.com and agoda reviews for them are terrible.

Trip.com tells a completely different story. I'm looking for relatively solid budget hotels and both of these fell into my price range.

If anyone has any experience with these hotels in real-life, I would really appreciate it!

Hotels I'm considering:

- Yi Zhi Hotel, Taikoo Li, Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou

- JI Hotel (Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center)

- Guangzhou President Hotel (Guangzhou Sports Center Taikoo Hui)

- CityNote Xinuo Hotel(Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town Tiyu Xilu Metro Station Store

- Arthur Hotel Zhujiang New Town Guangzhou

I'm there for 9 days, looking to get some work done, but also have access to lots of street foods/night life.

Thanks everybody! Most hotel reviews I see are for Western brands which seem to be out of my price range right now.
