If there’s one good thing scrolling on facebook has given me, its letting me see the format text of these scams 😅 thanks Meta algorithm
Tbh first time ko selling anything, and ok naman past few transactions. This just made me learn one thing about conversationalist scammers: they distract you as much as possible. So life lesson: always stay on guard when something is on the line.
THE STORY:
Si scammer here, (unlike my past customers) ang bilis ng chat; ngl got me pressured to respond quick too. Puro sya “sis walang sira yan no,” so unfortunately hindi ko na nakita na 10mins ago ang creation ng account 🥲. Sent my gcash (not my main) and vi-video ko na sana item para maniwalang walang sira, when the “lalamove rider” called me. Thought red flag na ito, ang bilis maka-book + parang wala naman sa motor (walang city ambience na rinig) si kuyang nakausap ko. Narinig ko na ang mahiwagang 1,400, 😒 another red flag. Then checked my convo with scammer, then saw the screenshot, alam na. Report, block, and blocked the “rider” num.
Tried searching the user again, pero ayon, deleted na 😂. I didnt really expect this because I thought my account was lowkey.
THE SCAM MECHANIC:
An item priced low ay magiging 1,400 para may tubo daw si scammer na ibebenta kay kapatid nya. Si kapatid daw ang magpipick-up and magbabayad. After non, ipapa-gcash sa seller yung sobra, when in reality, walang sobra na naibigay. Consequently, hindi titigilan ang seller
