ELI5 how to spot side ways and upside down skyscrapers

I have been working through Sudoku.coach's campaign for a while. At first, I got a little stuck on x-wings, but I got there. For the past couple months, I have been *hard* stuck on skyscrapers. I understand how they work, theoretically, but I am shit at spotting them when they are right side up. Upside down or sideways? I don't even know where to start. Please help! Lol

I am looking into dipping my toes in to litRPG for the first time, and I would particularly like to try something in the genre that features a lesbian, or otherwise sapphic protagonist. Here is, basically, what I am looking for:

  • lesbian/sapphic protagonist
  • prominent romantic sideplot/B-plot that feels integral to the story
  • smut/sex scenes welcome as long as they are well written
  • at least somewhat interesting world building and main plot
  • thats basically it

I ask if sapphic litRPG exists largely because, after going through a couple of older thread about sapphic litRPG works, there were a lot of accusations of finding good sapphic representation being difficult, and claiming that a lot of the sapphic stories are written by men. Now, I am not again sapphic stories written by men at all -- I love *Foundryside* by Robert Jackson Bennett, *legends and lattes* by Travis baldtree, and *this us how you lose the time war* by max gladstone and amal el-mohtar (which I recognize is only half written by a man) -- but, in this case, a lot of the criticism I saw is claiming that the works written by men are very fetishistic in nature.

Typically, I tend to take claims like this, and claims that a story is "male gazey" with a grain of salt, as I think there is an oversenstivity to fetishization, and many if the women who complain something is "male gazey" are legitimately misunderstanding what that term means ajd how it should be applied (source: I am a lesbian who hangs out in lesbians spaces online and have a masters degree in English lit). But, I figured u would ask about it in this post anyway just to see what folks say/think

Anyway, that's my request. I'm admittedly a bit nervous about trying this out, as most of what I read is more "highbrow" fantasy and scifi that feature complex storied taking place in complex worlds with a heavy political focus. Here's a list of some of my favorites in case it helps you make recommendarions:

  • The Imperial Radch Trilogy by Ann Leckie
  • The Teixcalaan Duology by Arkady Martine
  • Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh
  • The Murderbot series
  • the locked tomb series
  • the Baru Cormorant series by Seth Dickinson

Thanks in advance, and sorry this post is so long!

I am looking for sad/melancholy video game soundtracks. I love games, obviously, and I write fanfiction about video games a lot (don't judge me lol). When I write, I love to be able to out on a soundtrack -- problem is, a lot of them are upbeat, or epic, or whatever. I can't think of any that are sad.

The fic I am currently working on is...pretty sad/angsty lol, so I'm hoping to find music to write to to match. I've seen other threads asking a similar question, but they were focused on individual songs, whereas I am looking for while soundtracks. I need something I can press play on and let play out. I am too distractible as a human being to get any writing done if I have to switch to a new song every 3-5 minutes

I will say, as a note, I have alrrayd listened to the journey soundtrack so much I'm starting to hate it, so maybe don't suggest that lol

Thanks!
