IIFT - Currently not in the merit list or waiting list means outright rejection, right? And an external waitlist is people placed on the waitlist for all campuses? and post outright rejection in round 1 - there are no chances that round 2 or 3 would be hopeful :( - please help me understand

I will be joining college this year after 2 years of gap, and honestly no matter what, there’s a sweet comfort spot while being at home, and taking things at your pace. But now, June being the month where things change- everything is so overwhelming, lot of self doubt - will i be able to stay competent? How will i perform when it comes to SIPs, placements, clubs, committees?
Anyone else going through something similar- very overwhelming the waiting period has become😅
