Hi all, now that the rules have changed about owning pets as renters, I want to try asking about getting a new pet (tarantula).

Usually landlords/estate agents don't allow pets because of potential noise, damage, or being dirty.

I want to send an email request making points why it wouldn't be an issue.

The draft I have so far is:

I hope you're well. I'm getting in touch to kindly request permission to keep a pet tarantula in the flat.

I want to reassure you that it would be completely safe and low‑impact:

• It would be kept in a secure, fully contained and lockable enclosure.
• Tarantulas are silent, clean, and produce no odours.
