Two remarkable men from Maharashtra
Two remarkable men from Maharashtra, both named Tukaram, but known for very different reasons.
Tukaram Mundhe, an IAS officer, is known for his straightforward and disciplined approach to administration. Throughout his career, he has taken tough decisions and often stood by them despite pressure and frequent transfers.
Tukaram Omble, an Assistant Sub-Inspector with the Maharashtra Police, became a symbol of courage during the 26/11 attacks. At Girgaum Chowpatty, he confronted the terrorists without a firearm and grabbed Ajmal Kasab, helping the police capture him alive. Omble was fatally wounded and was later awarded the Ashoka Chakra posthumously.
It's interesting that two men from the same state, with the same first name, became known for such different things.
Mundhe is remembered for his integrity and determination in public service. Omble is remembered for his courage and sacrifice in the line of duty.
Different careers, different circumstances, but both left behind something worth remembering.
How Did This Gore Image Get Past YouTube Moderation
What is this, YouTube? How is this even here? The image shown is actually a real-life photo from one of the most infamous pieces of gore media, known as “Funkytown.” I blurred the thumbnail, but it’s a real image taken from the actual gore video and was apparently used as cover art by the artist.
I don’t understand how YouTube moderation failed to catch this. The video is already a few years old, and I know artists sometimes use random images as cover art, but this one doesn’t look like art or a designed image at all it’s an actual image from a real gore video.
What do you guys think?
