Dog has persistent hives

She was bit by a bug last Friday, became lethargic and painful. Took her to the vet and pocus and BP was normqal, gave benadryl inj and pain inj and told to do benadryl 3 times a day. The hives got a bit better, but were almost all over her on Thursday so took her back to the vet on Fri and pocus and BP was normal and so they gave a dexsp inj and said to continue the benadryl and do prednisone. The vet said the hives should be gone by 36 hours, but she still has them. She's not scratching or acting abnormal. Should I be worried? Is it normal that they are still persistenting?

My son was making fun of another little boy today. The boy went to go hit my son and the boy got in trouble, but the teacher did not know about my son bullying the boy. I am going to let the school know tomorrow that my son was instigating. I have the mother's number of the other little boy. My son is 4, he is 5. Should I text the mom and let her know the situation and apologize or no?

ETA: my son told me he was singing a 'mean song to him' and that's when he was almost hit. I reached out to his mom and apologized, talked the situation with my son and explained why we don't say mean things. I asked why he said it, and he just said he didn't know. He will also be apologizing to the boy tomorrow at school. They are friends and play together.

ETA 2: He apologized to the other child today and I let the teachers know. He seemed to understand what happened and why he shouldn't partake/start teasing, so fingers crossed it sticks.
