Is a Diamond subscription worth it for a total beginner who can put in a time commitment?
I've just started doing puzzles almost daily in the last couple months and I love it. I got Lichess yesterday and it seems to have a lot, but not be so well organized. I'm happy to spend a couple hours on chess daily and I want to learn, but I don't want to spend that much if it isn't best for a beginner. I have a chess app on my iPad through Apple Arcade that I've been making some progress with. I don't know if this subscription is something that'll really help set me up for success or if it's more geared towards people who have a clue what they're doing already. It seems great, and I'd love to hear from people who started with it at a low level. Does it have well structured lessons for people barely starting out? Is it well organized? Lichess has tons of classes but I can't seem to find any step by baby step instructions, just random lessons put together by people who do know what they're talking about and the lessons seem great, but I'm looking for more of an organized curriculum. Am I better off with books and YouTube as a beginner? Everything with Chess com seems great but people say I can find it all at Lichess and I can't seem to find anything there. I've been eyeing a subscription for over a year and would put time into it, I just want to hear if it makes sense. Would you recommend I get it while it's on sale? If you have Diamond, what makes it worth it to you? Is it fun to use? Do the bots really help? Do you wish you'd started with it? I really appreciate any input.
Edit: Reddit won't actually show me the comments at the moment, I just get notifications that there are a couple, so I'm trying to fix that.
