This video is just a demonstration of speeding up the synching time by a factor of 6.8 x.
I implemented the endpoints in my cuprate fork and also modified it. (gRPC and other performance tweaks).

Why?
Because I want to implement that into my react native wallet.

Other app features will be:
+ Monero Faucet (adoption: New users can play around and making first transactions)
+ Push Notifications for incoming transactions (optional and only for published addresses)
+ Marketplace (sell and buy physical and digital products but also services)
+ Nearby push notifications (optional) - find people in your area (P2P stuff)
+ Address book sync (optional) - get a notification when a friend also has the wallet
+ Supports third party servers (slow)

Not included will be:
- exchange
- custodial wallets

Notice: The app will be privacy focused. All non privacy features will need a opt in.

Marketplace: Listings will be valid only for 30 days, to avoid ghost listings. Push notifications if someone gets in touch with you or if you want to renew your listing.

Goal: Easy to use app for everyone. Increasing monero adoption. Connection people.

Obstacles:
Financing - I love monero, that's why I want to support the ecosystem. Usually I develop app s for business customers. Would be great to get a small income just for the servers. Maybe you have an idea how. Anyway I will develop it.

Development with the community:
I would appreciate feedback, ideas, especially your needs for an app. I know from the last post I made: open source, audited, not vibe coded, ..

I’m working on an early Monero mobile wallet prototype and would love feedback from the community. (React native for iOS and Android)

The goal is to make Monero easier to use on mobile: faster sync, cleaner UX, and less friction for normal users, while still keeping

privacy as the default.

Under the hood I’m experimenting with cuprate and some wallet/RPC (optional grpc) optimizations to make syncing faster, but I don’t want this post to be too technical. The main idea is: open the app, sync quickly, send/receive XMR without the experience feeling slow or confusing.

I’m also thinking about a few optional features:

# Optional push notifications for incoming payments (Only for public addresses with hosted view key)
# Optional local marketplace for finding people nearby to trade XMR for cash, products, or services.
# Approximate location only, not exact live tracking
#Privacy-first defaults, with anything server-assisted clearly opt-in

I know some of these ideas have privacy trade-offs, especially notifications and nearby listings, so I’d rather ask early:

Would you use something like this?
What would make it unacceptable for a Monero wallet?
Should the local marketplace be inside the wallet, or separate?

I’m still early, so honest criticism is welcome.
