So I was really frustrated with my cold brews 🤷‍♂️

They always tasted dull, flat and stale 😐

I almost gave up on cold brewing 🥲

Yesterday Gemini asked me to brew at room temperature instead 👀

I steeped it at bed time, and dozed off to sleep 💤

When I took the first sip in the morning, I was absolutely amazed 🤩

It was so fruity, bright and punchy 🍋

Apparently 29°C was able to pull the flavourful acidity out of the beans 🍋‍🟩

(I used Harley Estate robusta beans, which has a tangy flavour with low bitterness, steeped it for 8 hours, since I had pour over grind which made the extraction faster, at a warm room temperature 🌡️)

Fridge brewing is good for that deep chocolate sweet rummy taste, but I like my cups bright ⚡

I mixed Roastery Harley Robusta with Cothas Nova Blend (I store cothas in hunkal ziplock bags)

Cothas has this strong caramel after-taste that coats your tongue and lingers on even after finishing your coffee.

Cothas also gave my cup a nice body and aroma.

Harley Robusta is very thin, tea like with one dimensional mild flavour. The aroma is subtle, easy to miss.

I fill my glass with ice cubes up to the brim, and Harley was almost like I was drinking some zesty iced tea🍋

Mixing Cothas resulted in a cup which was more like.......Coffee?

I also like the caffeine hit of Cothas better? Mild euphoria, which is missing in my Harley cups somehow, I don't know the science behind it.

Anyway, I was experimenting to make my cup better, and it went successful.

Saw people talking about these two, on this sub 💡

Decided to try them, ordered from blinkit 🚛

The khoa in milk cake gives such good texture 🌟

And the ghee in mysore pak makes it melt inside your mouth 👄

Why do I feel so much better after drinking chilled zero sugar cola?

Before you say caffeine, hear me out.

I drink black coffee everyday. Blue Tokai, Araku, Naivo, Fraction 9 etc.

They have a lot of caffeine, and I drink on an empty stomach in the morning.

I brew strong. Still it doesn't make me feel as good as Diet Coke.

I have tried 200mg caffeine pills. They didn't make me feel so good.

How does this 30-40mg of caffeine make me feel so good?

I refuse to accept the caffeine theory.

Maybe the sugar additive makes us feel good.

I don't know, it makes me frustrated, I cannot figure out the secret ingredient.

I selected pour over grind, since I am a noob and assumed that it is coarse enough for my Channi + Filter Paper method.
