My paps resolved - hopecore

I wanted to share my story, especially to those who are getting diagnosed and feel scared atm:

I was diagnosed November 2025, after swollen paps were found in previous October. I had one ER trip due feeling dizzy and ill and having a light stripe covering my sight to the point it was hard to see. Otherwise I was cosidered having relatively mild symptoms.

I started to feel better after starting the medication even thought the side effects were not walk in the park (at one point I was peeing like a horse, at another point I was out of breath all the time). My paps began to heal and Diamox dose was lowered. Now my paps are normal and in two months we will lower the dose again.

I know paps can come back and flare ups are a thing, but I am feeling optimistic. I do have some symptoms like pulsating tinnitus and around my period I feel some tension but my eyes and possibly losing my vision was the thing that scared me the most.

I know not everyone is so lucky to get relief so soon and I hope all the best for everyone strugling with this. But sometimes things go relatively well even though it is so scary to hear that you have this and there is something wrong with your eyes.

Pomegranates still life

Little study from last winter. I am trying to get back at gouache painting but somehow I’ve become scared of the blanc paper
