Every Witcher game does something exceptionally well which makes it stand out and feel unique

Witcher 1 puts heavy emphasis on the witcher profession and the hunts feel a lot more unique and fun as Geralt is basically a noob due to having lost his memory and he's learning alongside you. I also think the game nails the darker, more cynical side of the Witcher world and it feels like the whole game is just Velen at some points.

Witcher 2 has the most morally ambiguous storytelling, as it's mostly focused on the politics of the Northern Realms and chocies are a lot more important than in the other games to the point where the whole second chapter can be completely different, which warrants a second playthrough.

Finally, Witcher 3 nails the more emotional storytelling as the game is very cinematic and focuses a lot more on Geralt and his family. I would go as far as to say that this is the first game where Geralt truly feels like the main character. It's also an actual open world game and has the most content, not to mention the DLCs.

Fakesaw Man makes no sense as a character

I think the idea of a villain being mad at Denji for his questionable morality and the fact that he intentionally let his brother die is really interesting and his backstory is sound.

The problem is, when you look at what he actually does in the story, the pieces just don't fit together and he comes off as inconsistent. First, he kills Yuko, presumably for being part devil. Then he goes out of his way to rescue Denji and Asa from the Falling Devil. Then, after disappearing for a long LONG time, he comes back with a strong sense of justice to kill Famine, believing that she's the Death Devil, before getting consumed and mind controlled by the actual Death Devil. Following this, he attacks Denji and Yoru, all the while criticizing Denji's morality and then he dies. After this, the Fire Devil reveals his backstory to Denji and that apparently, he "lived for revenge on him".

This character is so painfully inconsistent, it almost feels like there were supposed to be two of them at one point. He helps the Church fight against the Prophecy and devils but needs to be mind controlled. He hates Denji but goes out of his way to save him and doesn't actually make a move until he's mind controlled.

I REALLY hope the anime eventually changes some things because this part of the story is just ROUGH. Fujimoto wasn't even trying by the end.

Dutch and Benny are extremely underutilized in the series

Despite being 2 of the core 4 characters, it's actually remarcable how little presence they have in the plot. Sure, they do a lot of stuff off screen, but they don't get too much development and don't have any story arcs that revolve around them. Benny gets a girlfriend. Dutch complains about his job and is just there. That's it.

Even if you don't look at Revy and Rock, who are obviously the main characters, you still have Roberta, Shenhua, Balalaika, Eda and as of recently, Le Majeur, who all get their own story arcs.

I don't think Rei likes Dutch and Benny very much.

The Slaughter scares the shit out of me

I'm currently on ep 125 and I think I finally realized which entity I find to be the scariest.

Not gonna lie, out of all the entities, it is the Slaughter that scares me the most. The Stranger creeps me out, the Flesh and the Corruption make my skin crawl and the Vast isn't making my thalassophobia easier, but the Slaughter is just...plain chaotic evil and destruction. It forces human beings to kill and/or mutilate themselves and their loved ones in the most gruesome ways imaginable, all the while thriving on pain.

I never want to hear the sound of bagpipes, ever again.
