Hey y'all - this one may sound silly but just going to be honest and see what everyone says

My wife and I recently moved to an area with open field. I told her I would love to learn more about nature/outdoorsy stuff. So, she got me a telescope she found at the local repurpose store - So happy and was very thoughtful

However two little hiccups

The 20mm eyepiece is missing

and its a kids telescope

If I just bought a new eyepiece for $25 would it be crazy to still use as a beginner even though its kids?

I just want something to look at some stars and moon every now and then to see if I will use it often to justify spending more money (we're broke lol)

I’m a younger dead head and was always curious. Is there a universal response folks give when a fellow head compliments a hat or shirt you’re wearing?

Always love when an old head is shocked or impressed when wearing GD stuff but plenty of times they assume I have no idea their music (understandably so)
