Ron Gilbert new interview on Thimbleweed Park 2 - Setting, UI, Development stage, and its mysterious investor!

Heya! Ron Gilbert joined me to discuss Thimbleweed Park 2, including its murder-mystery story, returning characters, new locations and changes to the classic point-and-click interface.

We also talk about how the game unexpectedly came together, the private investor helping to fund it, reuniting the original development team and why the project was announced so early in production.

Ron also shares his thoughts on the...rather divisive ending of the original Thimbleweed Park, adventure game difficulty, in-game hints, physical editions and whether he would ever like to remake Maniac Mansion.

Thimbleweed Park 2 Announcement - Everything we know so far + Reaction

Heya! Here's a quick video I made about the Thimbleweed Park news, rounding up what we know and what we might expect. Maybe more importantly, I will be speaking to Ron Gilbert about this in a week or so'stime for an interview, so please drop any questions for him about it (within reason, he won't tell us everything) in the video comments!

Pokemon Go fans for article about 10th annviersary

Hi! I was looking to speak to some Pokemon Go fans for an article about the 10th anniversary next week for the BBC News tech team (we cover gaming stories and having played plenty of PG myself I wanted to try and mark it some way).

I am speaking to the game's former Director / Scopely VP of Product Michael Steranka so questions for him also welcome - but would love to hear from some stories from PG players alongside, especially any who found friends / relationships or something special or unusual through the game to celebrate the milestone. Hopefully this is ok to post - if so please drop me a comment or dm me. Thanks!

Cool games if you love Golden Idol and deduction / detective games

Thought some people here might enjoy this. I put together a video recommending five mystery and deduction games for Golden Idol fans, including Roottrees, Confidential Killings and a few lesser-known picks.

(Links are in vid description as when I tried to post links here before they came out badly formatted!).

Hey folks, an interview I did originally for a Steam Event (Curious Odyssey) with Sam Barlow -the creator of Her Story, Telling Lies and Immortality.

We get into storytelling, what makes the best detective game, how he wrote Her Story and a little snippet about his next two games including Project C which he says is his most complicated yet! Chapters included because that man can talk for hours 😄
