What the title says. Looking to store excess from my solar into a 3-6 Kwh battery systems and don't want to invest thousands into a chemical that can burn down a house in an instant.

Love the smell just an odd month to experience it right now.

I'm posting this out of desperation and probably lack of my personal education on this subject, but need help from the community out there on how and what we can do to better my son's life.

So the ongoing thing is that he has been always been a happy going, hyper active kid. There is a lot going on in his head at any given point and he doesn't have any siblings so when home, he is mostly learned to play by himself, chatting or singing to himself and narrating out stories probably what he heard from bed time, books or limited screen time. We try to maintain a routine with him which includes physical activities and playtime in park every evening so he is able to burn out his energy and sleep through the night.

The issue here is that getting him to listen and follow instructions that takes long time is really hard for him. Things like eating food on his own, doing his homework, or even cleaning up after playing in his room. These are all activity that he doesn't like so he gets distracted every few seconds and forgets to do it completely. We have to be constant helicopters to remind him or raise voice to grab his attention and follow through the instructions all in while that goes back into the same loop within minutes.

We didn't do any specific brain health tests for him but his pediatrician (since his birth) tells us all is well and that we should just keep him active in some kind of team sports to help him focus.

We have tried several methods from encouragement to being strict and talking about consequences but then within minutes, it just goes back to "daydreaming" mode. Its not that he behaves like this all the time, any thing of his interests, including specific homework like math problems, or just making something out of a pile of Legos, he will do it quickly and a really good job.

I see a younger version of me in him but the parenting style I got was vastly different, due to several factors, not getting into it, but ended up breaking my confidence to the core and I'm constantly reevaluating my decision. I don't want him to turn up like me when he grows up with the same parenting style that I received and probably worked to what felt right at that time.

Can someone please share tips and tricks that may have worked with you or I could try and see if there are noticeable differences and I could continue the same in the longer run? TIA 🙏🏽

Looking outside my window, on a hot day like today, I see heat shimmers only around the area of rail tracks.

I understand it's light passing through different density of air and hence the result. What I don't understand is, why only around the small area of metal (from distance) and not around other larger objects that too are made of metal/concrete ?

If the air has different density at the lower ground, so it does, at the higher ground too, so why not everything else (that is man made and gets hot fast) produces the same result?
