Should I transfer back

I came in as a 2nd year transfer student from KSU to UGA. I’m an intended accounting major and the whole reason I transferred was because of the strong business program to which I’ve already connected with a recruiter from KPMG.
I’ve been here for a week and obv it’s only the second day of school but i honestly hate it here. I’ve never lived alone and kinda threw myself in the deep end. KSU was 15 mins from home where I had my parents, sister, and grandparents so it was super convenient and comfortable.
Here I leased an apartment that ended up being crusty and they changed my original roommates so now I’m stuck with 3 international students who are in their masters and they are dirty.
Among that I have no car here due to insurance reasons and because even if I did, I’d have to hop on a bus to campus anyways.
While there are buses that come to my apartment, yesterday on the way home, route 14 didn’t finish the route for some reason and didn’t go to my apartment like it’s supposed to. I asked the driver and she looked like she forgot or just didn’t go there on purpose. The next bus passed by me and I cried. I had a friend’s sister pick me up because I had been walking In 100 degree heat since 8:40 am. My last class ended at 4:15 and I didn’t reach home til 7.
I’ve genuinely cried everyday, I don’t know why I did this to myself.
With that being said, I understand I’m very homesick and I’ve been put in these terrible circumstances here but I feel that my mental health is declining majorly. I’m going home this weekend to clear my mind but I fear that I made the wrong decision by coming here. I’ve made friends and we’ve hung out yet I still feel the same.
My parents keep telling me to wait out the semester and if I don’t get into terry for accounting then transfer back to ksu. I know you can keep reapplying to terry but at some point I keep thinking that at the end of the day I want an accounting degree to become a CPA and I don’t want to waste my dream at the place that could potentially restrict that even though I’m in a good position.

If I still feel this unbearable by Christmas break, do I transfer back?

Thanks for reading this, any advice will help.

Bus routes

Hey guys,
I just moved into Arches on the lake on lakeside dr. Almost all my classes are year the Tate center (MLC, Caldwell on MWF and one at Sanford hall T/TR

The buses here take riverbend connector and route 14

Idk how reliable the busses are but I’ve heard route 14 goes to Tate?
If anyone lives here do both busses come out on the stops in front of the buildings?

I’ve never used a bus fr so any advice will help!

I’m moving in on Wednesday in an off campus apartment about 10 mins from campus. There’s a bus system right in front of my apartment. I was planning to bring my car but looks like I’ll be carless for about a month cus I’m sorting out stuff with insurance, do yall think it’ll be manageable?

The only places I’ll rlly be is on campus and grocery shopping if I rlly need to but I just don’t know how reliable and consistent the busses here are.

Chances of terry acceptance?

Just made a 72 on the ACCT entrance exam
1230 SAT (def weakest part of my app)
4.0 GPA (including all terry prerequisites besides 4 that I’m taking this sem)

Both my test scores are on the low end especially as an intended accounting major.

I’m planning to take the EPP and considering that I’ll hopefully write a strong statement of purpose, how cooked am I? Is this enough to get into terry for accounting?

I’m also probably gonna retake the entrance exam but don’t know how soon so I’m trying to get a glimpse of my chances with just those stats.

Thanks!

Accounting entrance exam

I’ve spent a whole month studying Skoolers but still don’t understand the equity section like common and preferred stock.
My exam is in 3 days and I don’t know whether to focus on the Terry practice exam or do the Skoolers exams. I got 20/56 wrong on the terry practice exam. How cooked am I?

Most importantly HOW similar is the terry practice to the real thing? Will I be fine if I keep studying till the practice exam is doable?

I’m so scared pls help

Skoolers

How prepared did Skoolers accounting entrance exam review make you for the exam?

Is it generally harder than the actual test or right on par?

And how long did you prepare for?

Blue screen error on brand new laptop

I just got this laptop last week from Amazon and ever since I opened it it’s been showing the blue screen error every 10 minutes. I’ve tried troubleshooting and installing the latest updates, resetting it, force updating it, nothing will work because everything shows an error. I don’t know what’s wrong with it and there’s no warranty on it so if I need to return it, I need to do it soon. Does anyone know what the issue could be? Is this a common occurrence or did I get a faulty laptop?

Applying to Terry as a transfer

Do any transfers from KSU want to share their experience applying to Terry as one of the high demand majors like accounting or finance? Specifically if you took accounting 2101 at KSU.
I had a high A in that class all semester and ended with a 100 after bonus. I have a 4.0 transfer GPA and have done well in all the Terry prerequisites so far.

I’m just super stressed about this accounting entrance exam because 2101 @UGA is supposed to be harder or something. I also have a 1230 SAT so I’m planning to take the ETS.
How hard are both these exams and would it be a bad idea to take them in the same day? because I live two hours away.
Is Skoolers necessary to get a good score?

How does transfer advising go?

I’m an incoming sophomore transfer for fall 2026, i’m an intended accounting major and have been pretty set on my major since the beginning. I took accounting 2101 at Kennesaw State and ended with a 100, it was pretty easy but I don’t know how comparable it is to UGA.
One of the advising requirements is to fill out a survey and it asks why you’re interested in this major and your career goals. Obviously accounting is very competitive at UGA.

And in my head, I’m just thinking about being in front of the advisor and them telling me that it’s more competitive than I think and, basically I’m scared they’ll try to talk me out of it? LMAO

I know it’s stupid to think like this, but can some accounting major tell me how their experience was?
