For All My Anime and Gamer KSU boys and girls: Momocon is tomorrow!

Hello! I'm just sharing with anyone who doesn't know that there's a big anime/gaming/cosplay convention going on in Atlanta, Thursday-Sunday. I'm possibly meeting some people there, just wanted to share that if you're into anime and at KSU, It probably be a fun experience! :).

Much love to all! Have fun if you're going! If you see me say what's up, I'll be wearing a sasuke/naruto shirt and blue jeans.

Advice

Does anyone have any tips on how to spot predatory job postings/ listings. As a finance major it sometimes seems like these jobs are scams, with wide pay ranges. Also when looking at jobs postings in general how do i make sure to avoid jobs that are technically “sales postings”. Sales overall seems predatory and i dont want a commission based job.

Research VS Physics

I’m in a bit of a pickle. I am a rising Junior. Debating whether to take BIOL 4450 for research credit and research opportunity since my Extracurriculars are lacking. I am currently a pre-med-health student and am unsure if I should take Physics 2 ( requirement) or research. If I drop BIOL 4450 I would have to explain to the professor and I was really excited to join. However, if I don’t take physics 2 then i will technically be behind. The thing is that there’s only one lecture that fits my schedule and it happens to fall at the same time that the research course/lab takes place. Any suggestions, etc ? Should I ask if it’s possible to contribute without it being a course on my schedule?

I kind of want to decide fast because there’s 9 available spots on the physics 2 waitlist which would put me at the top of the waiting list almost guaranteeing a spot.

Hi, question for the nursing students. I’m debating on enrolling in 4402 (research) for the summer, but don’t know what the class consist of so I don’t know If I’ll be able to stay on top of it. Is it writing a bunch of papers and discussion post? What’s it like?

Edit: just completed my first sem of the program

Nursing 2027 Prereqs State Legislative Requirments?

I plan on applying in August for Spring 2027 start, so I'm hoping someone can help me.

Does anyone know if they take into consideration AT ALL whether the State Legislative Requirements need to be met before applying? I haven't taken the exams for those yet, plan on taking them this summer. Just want to weigh my "well, what if I don't pass and need to take them in the fall" scenario. I have credit for the classes, just need the exams.

I have completed all 11 prerequisites. I am missing the TECH, Math, and Science "Applied Math" class, but that shouldn't count either in the application, right?

No Content on Maymester Course

I am registered for a maymester class that started today. The professor emailed us at 12AM to say they would upload the content at some point today, yet the day is nearly over and still nothing. On the schedule uploaded in the syllabus, there is apparently work due tommorow night. I emailed the professor, and I have gotten no response. I need to take this specific class, so I am hoping the class doesn't get cancelled or something. Is this unusal? Or has someone experienced something similar?

Best/worst things about KSU Marietta?

Hi all, I will be transferring to KSU in the Fall (specifically the Marietta campus) and I’m not too sure what to expect. What are the best and worst things about this campus?

Biol 1108 was horrible

BIOL 1108 was actually the worst class I took this semester. The exams were hard for no reason😭 Like A&P is easier than whatever this class was. I am so grateful for the resurrection points during the final that replaced the 3 exams I did horrible in. Genuinely, if you are taking this class make sure it’s with a good professor, and if you ever need practice questions I can send over the ones I complied. So glad the semester is over, have a great summer you all!! Remember to stay awesome!

Just to clarify >> I’m saying the class itself was horrible, not my professor. That’s why I said to take it with a good professor, because if the professor is also bad on top of how dense this class is, i can’t imagine how stressful your experience would be 😭

CARE and Emergency assistance

I want to know what people have experienced after applying for the emergency assistance. I lost my job, and funds have finally started to run out, also turns out that I am losing financial aid also due to the pacing? this is my second semester back after a ten year break. I have 2 young children under 2 years old. Will Care help me buy groceries for my kids or pay rent?

Summer Course(s)?

So I've got like 4 courses before I'm able to graduate in the fall, and one of my required courses is my IT Capstone. I've already heard a lot of information about this course so I've been contemplating whether or not to take a summer course. However, when I met with my advisor, he mentioned that if I wanted to, I could take 2 courses instead this summer and then take the last 2 in the fall. Is 2 courses in the summer gonna be too much though?

I've already taken a summer course before and it wasn't difficult, but i just want to know if anybody's had experience taking more than 1 class in the summer, and whether or not it's worth it.

Masters in Instructional Technology

Hi, I’m looking at the different grad programs KSU offers and was wondering if anyone is currently in this program or has graduated from it. What was your experience like with the online classes? And are the job prospects good with this degree?

They pronounced my name wrong at commencement

I’m so upset, not only did they pronounce my name wrong even with the pronunciation I gave on tassel, there were people screaming over it when I walked across the stage, shouting for the person in front of me. I couldn’t hear my family at all. They sent me the photos and videos and I swear in every single one I was blinking and the video said my name wrong too. This is the only degree I’m planning to get for a long while so I’m very bummed.

Summer class difficulty

I'm taking a 4 week American Identities class over the summer. On a scale of 1-10, how difficult will it be? I know 4 week classes are very condensed but I just want to get a grasp on how hard the class will be in general.
