My 2000 Cherokee was kept in a horse pasture for all of Covid (3 years) and I am still trying to get it back in great shape. Major non-mechanical problem though: rat smell. Seriously. Rats got into the car and turned it into a rat hotel back then, and no amount of professional shampooing or steam cleaning seems to be able to remove the smell.
I am now thinking of replacing the seats completely.
Is this even possible? I don't have much experience restoring cars, I just know that I want to. Seeking any and all advice! Car otherwise runs GREAT with 211,000 miles. I just hate driving it because my clothes smell like dead rat when I get out of the car!
