Weekly Measured Mercy. "You are granted 5 relics" ... but are you?

Okay, as you can see the mission has just started. We are literally at the first area. No one has gone down yet even once.

Terminators show up, I warn my brothers and try to take aggro. I was hoping that the Vanguard would remain at a distance and use ranged damage but sadly he went for the kick

Because of split up I was reluctant to got in close at that point but I realized I had to try and shield them. I tried, I didn't make it in time.

He goes down to the Terminator. Notice that he has no Relic when he gets back up. He went down again moments after and we lost the run.

I cannot stress enough that no one had gone down until that point. So at best we were given three relics one for each person

So exactly, how the hell does the condition work? Are you given one Relic each and maybe two more if you find them through the level? Didn't it use to give five relics per person? What happened?

Kicked the Trygon's ass so hard he split in two at the end... 🧐

Well this is a first one for me...(last few frames in the curscene)

Had me do a double take

Back to Back Execution Aura Farming

Rarely you get such precise in synch executions, even more rarely with such perfect pose...even more rarely with a brother of the same chapter

glad I was able to capture this

Bulwark PSA, delayed icon Tech

I have been asked about this a couple of times recently.

The heroic Plasma Pistol has its share of upsides and downsides especially for classes that only have access to a sidearm.

One of them is CHP regeneration which can be hampered by the long charge up time, this is rather unfortunate because the heroic Plasma Pistol has the highest CHP refund per shot I believe in the entire game or close to it. Especially on Terminus enemies ( I have another video that showcases that as well) and groups as demonstrated here.

This can be done in an emergency ahead of an encounter. It is tricky and requires proper distance ( if you are too close the shop will land before the banner does) but it is doable and, may I add, rather badass.

End of PSA,

For the Emperor

Dibs on the ugly one...

- which ugly one Brother?

- the big FAT ugly one!

Got to love when your brothers have your back and focus down the ads letting you manhandle the terminus AND serve you a well timed scan.

Hat off to you Brothers

New Players PSA - Full Team Heal

With the recent influx of new players, highlighted by the constant barrage of complaints about lower lower levels attempting harder difficulties, I thought it would be good practice to remind everyone the following, since I had to explain it a couple of times in the past week alone to neophytes.

Brothers, if a bulwark pings a Terminus execution for someone else to take he is likely trying to perform a full team heal.

Just get your shiny ceramite asses there and take the execution or stay within range if the execution animation has already started and your brother will heal everyone in One Go

Video attached for visual aid

That is all.

Weekly hard Pro tip

1: I have now heard twice concerns about butcher's gift and harvest of vitae being in the same stratagem. Let me reassure you that they do not block or interact weirdly with one another (I know right? Miracle). You get health back both from your own executions and the executions of your teammates if you are in their proximity. Simple as that.

2: if you get a Terminus enemy in possibly the worst area of the operation, the stretch of corridors between the cooling Rod arrays and the servitor Oculus scan area, you can literally run forward, down towards the next objective and the Terminus enemies will despawn. It happened to me more than once now. It seems to be very reliable

Rhythm of Carnage is GODLY with Fencing power sword (on bulwark at least)

Seriously...

It was more obvious than usual in this particular stratagem because... well I was not very lucky with the matchmaking

But THRONE... shield rush into a group (multiple hits stack and immediately apply the buff) followed by power style rush attack (also multiple hits) and then power whirl is ABSOLUTELY shreds.

At 300% extra damage the INSANE speed of the fencing sword melts everything in both styles.

I had to solo most of the Neurothrope's encounter and with the full 300% buff (I got lucky with timing) its health went from 50 to nothing in a single grounded phase

10/10 set of conditions

Will run it again back to back to help others along

Serious question about Sigismund... is it pronounced "sighismund" or "Sijismund"

Because... it is only good manners to pronounce someone's name right when you are laughing at memes about him

Brothers, Stop... Do not Rage Quit on "come prepared" strats

Yes, I get it, Press the Attack is (mildly) ANNOYING at best and (really) infuriating at worst...

But... hear me out

If you Rage quit literally 4 - 5 minutes of your way in a Strat that contains "come prepared" NO ONE will take your place because no one actually CAN.

yes, you got downed by a cheap shot (more than one actually) while you were at super low health thanks to Press the Attack, but the presence of Come Prepared BLOCKS join in Progress.

In doing that you are guaranteeing your brothers will be stuck with a bot until the end of the operation AND will lose out on your team perk (WHICH, I might add, was a shame here because our Vanguard had inner fire!).

you are better than a Bot Brother, Stop rage quitting

Hot take: items rendered useless by Battlefield conditions should NOT spawn on the map

Minor rant:

In a game mode that is already the peak of difficulty, hard stratagems, where drops are, normally, already very, very scarce, there is no need to have items drops that have been already rendered useless by the battlefield conditions

I am talking about the restorative stims dropping during games that feature Battlefield conditions that negate contested health ... and the latest find, the pyre blaster canister while strikeout is in play ( spoiler alert, without a gun strike you cannot set it off making it de facto useless)

That is all

The Codex Astartes says "You cannot parry orange attacks" ... well, FUCK THAT! 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, I am very well aware of what exactly happened there.

Still the visual effect and illusion that the ravener emergence attack was parried was so satisfying.

Miscellaneous (mostly) Bulwark PSA

May the blessing of the god Emperor be upon you Brothers

I wanted to bring attention to a couple of little known, yet useful mechanics in the game, since I have seen that they are less than widely known

1: the Bulwark Shield will protect from the neurothrope psychic waves

https://youtu.be/wPIjLvuGB7g?si=KlqyvuonmHsnGbsP

Notice, this will cause stagger, regardless of whether or not you have armored Advance active

Still, in hectic absolute moments where you are dealing with ads as well as the neurothrope and dodging everyone is not an option or when you are in very tight quarters and you do not know when the waves are coming because there are walls in the way ( like in exfiltration or Reclamation for instance) it is a good way to ensure no damage is taken

2: gun strike contested health refunds depend on the enemy you are gun striking

Vs Majoris

https://youtu.be/R30K\_ZCqCyo?si=M9s2RkkLNmh3iXqO

Vs Extremis

https://youtu.be/uxOuF9zASLM?si=bhYJZSf5KOkM1QTo

Vs Terminus

https://youtu.be/GkWm-RpBOxM?si=Ugs9hyUvPALF6q9X

Please do remember, lethal gun strikes, done when an enemy is in execution state, count as an execution and will refund all contested health. Gun strikes on minoris enemies, unless in execution state, refund nearly no contested health

But it is clear that Majoris gun strike refunds a certain amount of health. Extremists just a little more, and Terminus a lot more

No, the actual gun strike damage has little to do with it. I tried with different weapons and the values are almost identical across the board

3: you can out-power-wave the power axe using the Power sword if you know your timing

https://youtu.be/6gjYbAOnvYQ?si=nieQu15v5P92hPdC

https://youtu.be/xMbQUm0bZtU?si=23bnASj91jq3m44J

It is not a huge differential in damage and likely not as versatile but a bypasses the back step ( which I am personally not a fan of) and in a duel setting will most definitely stun lock an enemy

All right, that is it for today's PSA
