If it's true that Trump's outrageous incompetence and strategic mistakes with respect to Iran are so severe they border on treason, and if it's true that Trump lost the Iran War months ago, why on Earth do Trump supporters and Republicans still support Trump? Are they uninformed? Do they even care?

  • The Houthis have effectively captured Bab-el-Mandeb strait.
  • Iran still has the Strait of Hormuz choked off.
  • Oil is shooting above $100 a barrel.
  • The price of diesel is soaring.
  • We are running low on munitions.
  • Iran is nowhere near collapse.
  • Farmers across America are crying on social media as a result of rising input costs bankrupting them.

I think at this point it's impossible to not notice that Trump has totally screwed up in Iran. With that being the case why does Trump have any support at all? I don't get it. Are they stupid? Are they brainwashed? Do Trump supporters just not care about U.S. national interests? Do Trump supporters hate the rest of us so much they are willing to see the U.S. lose in Iran just to punish the people they hate? What is wrong with them? How is Trump's approval rating not 0% already? Why is still at 33%? Who are these people, these 33%, that still think Trump deserves any support whatsoever? I'm honestly curious. When are Trump supporters gonna realize Trump is big, fat loser?

Trump clearly lied about firefighters rescuing him on 9/11, one of the most horrific events in U.S. history, so why do Trump supporters not care?

He put himself inside the story of men who ran into the towers and died there. Is there anything he could say about 9/11 that would be too much for Trump supporters?

Has the pump begun? (VCX up over 4% today)

As of this moment VCX is now up over 4%. The VCX "doomers" with their bearish bets said this stock would collapse. Are they wrong? Is this stock gonna pump back up as we approach the Anthropic IPO?

What's your "bet"?

If you're long or short, tell us why.

Anthropic Finally Repairs Trump Administration Ties as IPO Spotlight Grows

Summary:

Commerce Secretary Howard Nutlick said the Trump administration now trusts Anthropic. His words end months of conflict with the maker of Claude. The artificial intelligence (AI) firm could go public soon. Nutlick spoke to Axios on Tuesday. A day later, he shared a stage with Anthropic co-founder Tom Brown. The venue was a G20 technology meeting in North Carolina.

What Ended the Anthropic Feud With Washington

Asked in an interview whether he trusts Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Nutlick did not hedge.

"They've done what we asked. They're back on the right side. So the answer is: Yes."

The fight was real, seeing as in June, Commerce demanded licenses for foreign users of Anthropic's strongest models. The company pulled Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for everyone instead.

Regulators lifted the export restrictions on June 30. Access returned the next day. Weeks earlier, Trump had called Anthropic a threat to national security.

The courts moved too, and on August 28, US District Judge Rita Lin voided the Pentagon's supply-chain risk label, calling the measures illegal and baseless. A second Pentagon designation is still live in the D.C. Circuit.

Anthropic is pitching IPO investors on a $30 trillion market opportunity

Anthropic is telling IPO investors that AI could someday help with over $30 trillion worth of work. It may try to raise up to $100 billion and be valued at about $2 trillion. Its revenue more than doubled to $11.6 billion last quarter, but the $30 trillion number, the TAM, is a very hopeful estimate of the biggest possible market, not money it expects to earn soon. Its IPO papers may come out soon, and the stock could begin trading in September or early October.

What is your best estimate for how many shares the Flagship Fund has to sell?

I am asking because the Form 144 notices do not state Flagship’s current inventory; they state the shares covered by a proposed sale. The simple reconstruction starts with about 2.74 million shares bought in February and subtracts all disclosed Form 144 sales through August 11, which leaves about 510,779 shares. The August 12 notice could cover up to another 202,915 shares, so the simple current range is roughly 308,000 to 511,000 shares. But the March 31 N-PORT balance conflicts with that simple calculation by about 1.016 million shares. I am looking for the best explanation of that gap and the best-supported estimate, not treating any one Form 144 number as proof of what Flagship still owns.

If VCX’s huge premium was caused mainly by its tiny tradable float, why hasn’t the price collapsed now that roughly 28 million previously locked shares became eligible to trade on August 14?

If VCX’s huge premium was caused mainly by its tiny tradable float, why hasn’t it at least begun a major drop now that roughly 28 million previously locked shares became eligible to trade on August 14?

My assumption is that if shareholders wanted to sell, they could have done so by now, whether it was on Computershare or after transferring to their regular broker.

Does this mean VCX’s price is being supported by real buyer demand, not just the lockup-created scarcity?

Bloomberg Reports: Anthropic plans to publicly file for its mega-IPO by the end of August

Here we go! Time to load up on VCX shares before the Anthropic IPO!

Key points in the article:

  • It may file its IPO registration publicly as soon as late August, though terms remain fluid.
  • Bloomberg says Anthropic was valued at about $965 billion in its May financing, after raising $65 billion—above OpenAI’s reported $852 billion March valuation.
  • Growth is extraordinary: preliminary Q2 revenue reportedly exceeded $11.5 billion, versus $787 million a year earlier, and annualized revenue run-rate reached $65 billion by late July.
  • But it remains intensely capital-hungry: it reportedly lost nearly $42 billion net in 2025 despite positive adjusted operating income in Q2, and is arranging a revolving credit facility above $10 billion.
  • Anthropic reportedly has major compute commitments, including a potentially tens-of-billions-of-dollars, three-year agreement with SpaceX.
  • It appears positioned to list before OpenAI, which Bloomberg says is now targeting 2027.
  • Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan are leading the deal. Anthropic is also considering super-voting shares to preserve control for Dario Amodei and the co-founders.

Why do Republicans hate IVF so much?

AOC’s public declaration that she is freezing her eggs has caused the Republican media ecosystem to freak out. But why? Why do they care so much about IVF?

About the Reflecting PooI: Is it acceptable for Trump to point the DOJ at a private citizen to cover up his own contractor's mistakes? Pirro went on TV and said she had the evidence and he did it. She had nothing. Should she be fired? Should David Hearn get an apology in public, from both of them?

Do Trump supporters feel bad that Olympian David Hearn was accused of damaging the Reflecting Pool, only for the DOJ to later dismiss the case and say the damage came from construction defects? Do you think Trump and Jeanine Pirro sincerely got it wrong, or knowingly targeted an innocent man?

Why do Trump supporters cheer on Trump when he cancels $7.5 billion in federal funding for clean energy projects in blue states, simply because those states voted against Trump in the most recent election? How do you think they would have reacted if Obama did the same thing during his presidency?

Remember when they said Obama was "dividing" the country? Imagine their reaction if Obama had done what Trump is doing now:

https://www.reddit.com/r/energy/comments/1v98385/a_major_trump_energy_scandal_is_flying_under_the/

The administration did not cancel the comparable grants in most Republican-leaning ("non-Blue") states. According to the court filings:

624 grants were initially considered.

284 grants in Democratic-leaning states were terminated.

About 340 grants in Republican or non-Blue states were left in place (only one was canceled).

Trump Is Selling Wall Street Early Access to His Truth Social Posts. Why Are Trump Supporters Okay With This? And How Much Corruption Is Too Much?

Trump's company is now selling Wall Street firms faster access to the President's Truth Social posts for up to $100,000 a month. Rich traders can get his market-moving statements before everyone else and use computers to trade on them in milliseconds. Trump also owns a large stake in the company that makes money from selling this access.

If this isn't corruption, what is? And how much corruption is too much?

Other Examples from Trump's second term include but are not limited to:

  • Selling access with the $TRUMP coin. People spent millions buying Trump's crypto coin to win a dinner with him. The biggest buyers got private access to the President, while Trump and his family made hundreds of millions in fees.
  • Taking huge money from a foreign government. A company tied to a top UAE royal invested $500 million into Trump's family crypto business, sending about $187 million to Trump family companies.
  • Taking a $400 million jet from Qatar. Trump accepted a luxury airplane from the Qatari government. Even many Republicans said it raised serious ethics concerns.
  • Making foreign business deals while President. Trump's company has kept making new business deals in foreign countries while he is making U.S. foreign policy that affects those same countries.
  • Pardoning a big donor. Trevor Milton gave more than $1.8 million to groups supporting Trump. After that, Trump pardoned him for fraud.
  • A company paid Trump while waiting for government approval. Paramount paid $16 million to settle Trump's private lawsuit while it needed approval from Trump's administration for a major merger. The merger was approved soon after.

Why do Trump supporters complain about Democrats being "Communists" and "Socialists" but seem perfectly okay with Trump's administration bailing out farmers and taking stakes in businesses like Intel? Isn't that "Communism" and "Socialism" too?
