teaching strategies

Hey, I will soon be an au pair and I am now looking for good ways to teach English to children. The child will be 2.5 years old. And they basically don’t know any English.

I don’t know their maternal language neither since I’m going there to learn it.

Therefore I wanted to know if any of you have some tips or advice. Anything is appreciated!

P.S. I know that it will be hard since we don’t speak eachothers language but I am willing to try my best! (:

Edited: I have taught foreign languages before. I am just looking for more tips to make it as efficient as possible.

annotated book-exchange

hey! does anyone know if there’s a thing in Switzerland where you can exchange annotated books?

I always thought it was a cute idea and I know that there’s organizations that do it in other countries but is that a thing here as well?
