Flat warts on my face. Can someone help me?.......
Hi everyone. I'm writing this post hoping that some dermatologist or doctor can help me out. When I was 10 years old, I noticed a weird bump on my face. Over the years, that little thing started spreading all over my face and never went away. My right cheek was COVERED with these weird-looking bumps. When I turned 17, they were still there, so I decided to see a dermatologist, who diagnosed me with flat warts.
I started a treatment that consisted of applying a 0.05% isotretinoin lotion on the warts and taking oral supplements for the immune system. After 4 to 5 months, they started purging and eventually disappeared.
However, a few months later they came back and never went away again (I am now 22 years old). The good thing is that they spread less and are much smaller now (maybe because I learned how to deal with them). In the last 3 to 4 years, I tried doing the treatment again, but it didn't work.
I am very concerned that if I don't get rid of them, they will spread badly again like they did years ago.
Disclaimer: I don't know if these tiny bumps are still flat warts, but because I suffered from them years ago, I'm guessing they are. I also considered seborrheic keratosis... I have some similar bumps on my neck too.
Can someone help me? Please. I know it may not seem like a big deal because they are tiny bumps, but they remind me of when people made fun of me at school. I don't want to go through that again. My skin has always made me insecure because I suffer from atopic eczema (aka allergic contact dermatitis), and my skin is very sensitive. Some doctors told me that this could be the reason why my skin reacts with flat warts, because my skin barrier is weaker. Or maybe It's some kind of Vitamin deficiency? I don't know.
I thought about purchasing some at-home remedies (like those pens that burn your skin to remove skin tags). I also tried applying 20% TCA, but that didn't really work. I know it's not a good idea and that I should see a doctor first, but dermatology visits are expensive and I can't afford them right now.
Here I added some photos. The pictures with the red circles are recent, while the first one is when I was a teenager.
Thank you all.
P.S. Please do not suggest natural or home remedies because none of that stuff has ever worked for me. I need a medical approach.
