hi, I’ve recently bought Outlaws from steam sale. game is really awesome IMO. I am playing on a APEX one x player handheld with bazzite. it’s very powerful, has 395+ chip. I am having pretty consistent stuttering issues. I’ve turned up TDP, I’ve turned off FSR. I’ve followed a lot of potential solutions through chatGPT but nothing is working. I might just download on my windows boot but I’d rather play on bazzite.

fps drops substantially every 10-40 seconds. has anyone had stuttering issues? and how did you solve it? thank you!

I saw a video for the 5070Ti that said I need the special power cable listed above, but do I need it for the 5080? Thank you!

These devices are awesome, and I am not sure which one to get.

x2 cons

- I fear the x2 might be too big, although it might not be the case. It's hard to imagine without being hands-on.

- The X2 also has the 388 chip. This is apparently going to give very similar performance for most games; however, I believe games are becoming more CPU-intensive and may favor the 395+ chip in the apex. I am no tech expert and don't really know much beyond Google searches! the 395+ would be better with a egpu if i ever get one.

- I have no plans to use detachable controllers, so that does not matter to me.

- I have no idea when batteries will be purchaseable. Having two batteries to switch between is something I'm really looking forward to, but idk when they'll be available for purchase.

x2 pros

- OLED is awesome, and does make a difference to me

- Maybe extra size is perfect, but idk. I got the Z13 with the G8 controller, and that has given me a fear of the downsides of demanding ergonomics.

So for me, it's really the OLED vs the possibly better chip. I want to eventually get an eGPU so the 395+ is more attractive, but damn, an OLED is so nice.

Besides my thoughts, what are the opinions of the community on which one they want, or rather have?

There's a feral monster I want to beat in the third zone. Can't do it till I'm much stronger. Can this move simply KO the monster if I try enough times?

Big monster hunter fan. I beat mhs2, and had a good time. I have Mhs3 now, and I am having a tough time with the combat. I am just leaving the second biom, i think the desert is next. I just need to beat this big guy in the way!

My ultimate plan is to get to the desert, pick up shrouded nerscylla with toxic needle plus, and spam a possible one hit Ko attack on some of the strong roaming mosters to make armor and weapons and eggs. IDK if that will work, but I read it on a YouTube comment aha.

Does anyone have any other specific advice? I like this game, but I would like it a lot more if I were better at battling.
