“Please Frisk I’ll do anything!” (Art by Carloscarloswas)
The show was bad that we’re larping the comic now
[Hated trope] There’s this big secret that would be game changing if revealed… but when it is no one gives a shit
Jon Snow being Rhaegar Targaryen’s son - Game of Thrones: It’s revealed at the end of Season 6 that Jon Snow is actually the son Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, which would make him the rightful king of Westeros. Despite how big of a deal this should be, nothing ever comes of it even when more people find out. Jon seems mildly annoyed and repeatedly says that he “don’t want it”. The most it ever leads to is Daenerys being slightly jealous that Jon has a better claim than she does.
Flight 37 - The Boys: After footage of the Flight 37 crash (and Homelander’s negligent role in it) are recovered and given to Starlight, she repeatedly uses it as blackmail against him to keep him in control. Eventually, he calls her bluff and says that if she does leak it, he’ll go on a rampage and kill millions. At the start of Season 5, the footage is finally leaked to the public… just to be immediately handwaved as an AI deepfake and never brought up again.
