Newbie: Spearhead and future of FS
I know this question has most likely asked before but I’m interested in getting into AoS and barely have any wargame experience. So this is all new to me.
I recently tested the water with 40K and am enjoying Votann and the Combat Patrol, and am ready to try the same thing with Spearhead and AoS. These are the two main games my friends play.
I know Fyreslayers are rumored to going away and I have been warned by my friends that they may be disappearing (or older units may) soon. I’ve read rumors and forums that mention they may be adopted into a larger Dwarven army as well.
I originally was going to go Cities of Sigmar for the mixed unit types. Reminded me of the Last Alliance in LotR. I like Fyreslayers but I don’t want an army that will have null units soon.
My questions are: would it be better to wait to see if a new dwarven army is coming with the new edition? Or would I be ok getting the Spearhead and possibly merging it with the new dwarven army?
