Was NOT expecting to swoon hard for Chaol…

Okay, wait. I’m 270 pages into Tower of Dawn and I absolutely did not expect to be swooning hard for chaol. What a beautiful story she’s written for this character. She could’ve just left him in the background as a part of Aelins story, but we are seeing him mourn, forgive, and find love. It’s so beautiful. I feel like I’m mourning with him - the loss of his legs, yes, but also, his friend Dorian, his former position, for Celaena who he once thought was the love of his life but turned out to be someone he didn’t know at all.

I was honestly viewing this book as a roadblock between me and KOA but now I’m so happy Chaol is getting the arc. And I really hope the romantic payoff is as good as I think it will be. I love watching Chaol learn he’s worthy of love even when he’s not “useful.” 🥺

Chapter 44: Dorian “consent” Havilliard. Queue up Sabrina Carpenter’s “When Did You Get Hot?” 😍

I made a post when I finished the first book talking about how much I loved Dorian, and I just want to say I love him even more now. That’s all…just needed to follow-up lol

Rowan…I don’t get it?

I’m about halfway through Heir of Fire and I don’t understand how Rowan could possibly be redeemable as a romantic partner? He is so violent and rude to Aelin. How can I possibly eventually be excited for them as a couple when he is being physically abusive and so incredibly cruel? No spoilers, but give me some reassurance because I was told to be excited about this couple…

Just started the series and I have opinions

I binged all of ACOTAR earlier this year and loved it for the most part (I’m very new to Romantasy/fantasy). I was warned that TOG might not be my thing because it’s “slower” and more fantasy-forward rather than romance-forward, and though I’m not super into traditional romance I was VERY compelled by that story line in ACOTAR.

But I have to say…I’m 3/4 through the first book and I haven’t been able to put it down. ALSO, I have been “squeeing” every time Dorian is around. I’m not even sure if that’s the right move…I feel like I’m supposed to be rooting for Chaos or whatever his name is lol. Anyways…so far I’m pleasantly surprised. Given my current opinions, tell me around which book I will become obsessed, can’t-put-the-book-down.
