I recently purchased some Brassard 8/2 cotton from Ability Weavers because it was less expensive than the same yarn at The Woolery. And they sent me a thank-you card! What a wonderful surprise, and I definitely plan to get more 8/2 Brassard (my go-to) from Ability Weavers in the future!
Got lucky on FB and found a Dorset Floor Loom not too far away. Just got it home and unfolded it. Happy to report that the reeds from my 24" table loom fit in the reed holder for the floor loom, which is great because the reed that came with the loom has some wear and tear (and a mountain of dust). Any tips on unique ratchet/pawl systems on the breast beam/apron? This seems to work by pulling outwards/backwards on the handle, then moving the ratchet down to pick up a tooth, and lifting up to reel in the apron (hope I explained that right).
I've been using a table loom for about five years, so a lot of this will be new!
Baltimore Orioles are back in S. Wisconsin. I had a male visitor yesterday and a female (?) today!
I know this is an American Goldfinch, but stuck on non-breeding male or juvenile male? Seems like he has a little black cap happening, so I don't think it's female?
I put up my bird feeder cam yesterday and mostly had squirrel visitors. Today I got my first feathered friend, a little house wren.
