Ubisoft Support is USELESS

How Ubisoft's Incompetent Support and Billing System Got My Account Banned Over Their Own Double Charge

I am making this post out of pure exhaustion and disbelief at how terrible Ubisoft support operates. If you are thinking about buying anything directly through their ecosystem or dealing with their customer service, consider this a massive warning.

### How It Started: The Unwanted Double Charge

It all started when I was hit with a double charge for a battle pass that I clearly did not want and never intended to purchase twice. Naturally, like any customer who just had money stolen due to a glitch or system error, I tried to fix it.

I went straight to their official Discord server to get help. The agents there told me to open a support ticket via email. I did as I was told. But instead of actually looking into the issue, the first email response I got was them trying to dodge responsibility and telling me to contact Steam instead.

### Passing the Buck and Steam's Confirmation

Following their instructions, I contacted Steam support to sort it out. Steam looked into the transaction, investigated the logs, and explicitly told me the truth: the responsibility for this specific billing error lies entirely with Ubisoft, and **Ubisoft had already accepted and claimed the fault for the issue**.

So, Steam sent me back to the source, confirming that the publisher needed to issue the refund since they acknowledged the screw-up on their end.

### The Support Loop from Hell

I went back to Ubisoft support with this information, expecting them to process my refund. Instead, what followed was a nightmare of bureaucratic incompetence:

* Every single time I replied, a **brand-new support agent** took over the ticket.

* None of these agents read the previous message history or bothered to check what the previous agent (or Steam) said.

* They kept treating me like I was starting the conversation from scratch, asking me redundant questions and sending copy-pasted generic replies.

* They completely ignored the fact that their own system caused the double charge and that their fault was already documented.

### The Final Insult: A Ban for Their Mistake

Because of this billing dispute—which, let me remind you, was caused entirely by *their* double charge and *their* acknowledged error—my account was hit with a ban.

When I reached out to protest this absolute injustice, their brilliant response was that **the ban is temporary and I just have to wait.**

Are you actually kidding me? Let that sink in: **I** am being punished, locked out of my own games and account, because **their** system failed, **they** double-charged me, **their** support team bounced me back and forth, and **they** admitted fault. And their solution is for me to sit quietly and wait while I am penalized for a mistake I had zero part in making?

### The Reality of Modern Gaming Support

It is genuinely baffling how a multi-billion dollar company can have customer support this utterly useless. You have automated responses, agents who clearly don't even read the tickets, zero internal communication, and a system that penalizes the customer when the company messes up.

If you try to resolve a billing error with them, you aren't talking to human beings who want to help solve a problem—you are talking to a brick wall designed to wear you down until you give up your own money out of sheer frustration.

I am locked out of my account, my money is gone, and I am being told to wait for a penalty I never deserved. Has anyone else dealt with this level of absolute incompetence from Ubisoft support? How is this even legal?
