r/ACBlackFlag feels like it's filled with Paid Actors and NPCs now

4+ months ago, before Resynced announcement, everybody agreed that they didn't want a potential remake of Black Flag to have changes that wouldn't be improvements, changes that are made because they don't understand what actually made Black Flag so good. I see people that actually like what they're seeing from Resynced? I feel like I'm crazy, because I don't see how Resynced is better than the OG. Maybe there's some small improvements I like, but there's nothing that I like about it that would make me prefer Resynced over the OG.

Black Flag was basically a pirates wet dream, you could be a pirate God. Resynced "improved combat" will make boarding ships a slog, and it just looks bad to me. Resynced doesn't look like it has that dirty gritty atmosphere the OG has. In general, Resynced mainly looks like a downgrade to me. Maybe because it caters to a different audience? I'm trying to like what I see, but I just can't. I prefer the right image.

And what bothers me the most is that mostly everybody agreed with me before the Resynced announcement, but after the Resynced reveal, the r/ACBlackFlag sub feels like it's just full of paid actors or NPCs now, and people that say anything remotely negative about Resynced will get downvoted to hell, even though the same opinions 6 months ago before the Resynced announcement would get a ton of upvotes. What the hell? I don't know what to think anymore. I finally joined this sub, and I'm just waiting around, halfway hoping to see a ton of people get disappointed with Resynced, when they realize the changes they thought they wanted are actually not that great.

And when they get mad at me for my opinions... wow. Just wow. "Don't buy it then." Yeah. I know that. I'm just very disappointed that idiots like them are the reason I'll never get an improved and upgraded Black Flag that I'll enjoy, and we're now stuck with Resynced, which looks awful to me. And that's not just nostalgia talking. I'm not trying to have a hate boner for Resynced. I'm just very disappointed that the OG Black Flag is what I'll be stuck playing, and I've lost my chance at seeing Black Flag get an actually upgrade with real improvements.

Even pirates don't want Ubisoft games?

I have noticed something among the piracy groups. Whenever people are talking about what games they want to get next, almost no one talks about Ubisoft games. Sometimes one or two people mention them. But the replies to them are always something like, "It's a waste of time for the cracker. Not worth it. We would rather play [X] game. So I hope the effort goes to crack the X game."

I was quite surprised with it. It seems like Ubisoft doesn't even need DRM. Their games are so shitty these days, that people don't even want to play them for free.

  • No seriously, take a moment and read the name of the sub

  • if your beloved company is not entertaining your support request, why should we?

  • I kept a few posts out of compassion for the other person but now everyone and their momma is making the "account suspended" and "launcher not working" posts

Give me feedback hacked acc!

When people ask me who I blame the most for why the industry is self imploding I point to Ubisoft. They were the first ones openly saying this garbage with a straight face. And guess what? Piracy spiked after they shut down The Crew. It's only on the rise and I'm loving it.

Why are there no mods to fix indian and black NPC in AC Odyssey/Valhalla?

I’ve been looking for mods that adjust NPC demographics in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla to better match the historical settings (e.g., removing Indian-looking NPCs in Ancient Greece or Arab-looking ones in Anglo-Saxon England), but I can’t seem to find anything. Is it that hard to make one? Does Ubisoft lock this data somehow, or is it a limitation of the game engine?

How long until Ubisoft goes bankrupt? 😀

As a Ubisoft hater, I want to see that company gone.

I know they used to make good stuff, but those times have already passed. The sheer amount of slop they've released during recent years is revolting and seeing that people still eat their bullshit games is even more concerning.

Like bro, stop consuming slop and consume actual good product for fuck's sake 😭

Some of you may have hope that they might turn around (or not.), but they're far too gone at this point. I believe extinction is the best fate for their company, because we all know they ain't giving up their ways so easily 😭😭

Share your thoughts on that Israeli company

Ubisoft made me request a refund and download a cracked version

Ubisoft just keeps getting worse every day. Now I can’t log in unless I use a VPN, and God only knows why (my country isn’t banned or anything like that). I just asked for a refund, uninstalled the shitty launcher, and downloaded the game from a pirated site. I have no trouble launching the game now.

*puts in the wrong password 5 times, account gets locked*

Man, I dislike Ubisoft as much as the next dude, but this is just basic account security 101.

Half of the posts on this subreddit recently seem to be dudes putting in the wrong password 5+ times and then crying that their account got *temporarily* locked and that THAT is part of the reason why Ubisoft is shit.

No shit? Same exact stuff happens on Steam where it'll block your login attempts for 30 minutes if you kept spamming the wrong password lol. If ANY company did the same y'all would be praising it for keeping your account secure.

There is SO many reasons to dislike/hate Ubisoft, but lets not pretend like our own stupidity because we don't use a password keeper and type in the wrong password too many times is the main reason lmao.

Ubisoft is a fucking worthless piece of shit company

I just bought ghost recon breakpoint via Steam, everything went smooth (it is valve after all), i spent about 2 hours downloading it and i was ready to play. When i booted the game up it said "(ERROR) Uplay not active" i imediatly remembered how this game was made by ubisoft and how they absolutely have a ungodly wish to make every single playing experience bad by making us use the waste of storage that is ubisoft connect. But then i calmed down and put my ubishit acc in, i clicked enter for exactly 54 times, nothing happened... i clicked again for the 55ist time and it logged in (kinda), what showed up was "your account was suspended due to multiple failed login attempts", i already lost my pacience with that fucking company right there and then. But i spent a lot of time looking forward to pay the game, so for the sake of trying to be happy i clicked the help button, there it sayed "to get your account back, recover your password via e-mail", so there i went in look of playing ghost recon, i clicked on the email they sent me and clicked on "Reset Password" then spent about 10 minutes coming up with a secure password, "finally" i thought, i clicked the confirm button and the long awaited message along the lines of "your password was succesufly changed" appeared on my screen, but my happinnes didnt stay like that for long. I then re-opened the game, waited for the login screen to show up, put my e-mail and my precious password in just for the glorious ubisoft connect to tell me "Your account is suspended due to multiple failed login attempts", again.... so then i said fuck it and decided to go on a attempt to save my sanity and create a new account. I went to create a new account, spent about half an hour setting my e-mail, password and username up. I thought i finnally did it, i clicked the sign-in button just for the fuckers to say "There was an error, please try again later". Thats when i lost it, i closed out of everything and shut down my pc, i decided to not break and need to buy a new monitor later because of the fucking ubisoft connect not working. I got so mad at those french fuckers i had to make this public. And if you got bored reading this, imagine me going to all this bullshit. So in conclusion don't buy anything anywhere anytime from the disgusting company that is ubisoft. I hope you have a good day, if you're not ubisoft.

The idea of playing AC is more appealing than actually playing it

I never played AC4 due to franchice fatigue, and only just came back for Shadows after a long hiatus. Just finished watching some AC4 Resynced gameplay and boy what a disappointment it was. Shallow combat, shallow stealth and even the same depressing UI from Shadows. Ubisoft are literally incapable of reaching the potential the franchice has. No innovation or complex mechanics are allowed. AC2 back in the day was amazing and it's been going downhill ever since. The idea of playing an Assassin's Creed game is more appealing than actually playing one. What a piece of shit franchice. Rant over. Thanks.

Ubisoft gets hate for what other studios get praised for.

I'm tired of people pretending that people hate games ubisoft makes not the studio itself. I see ghost of tsushima gets praised and hailed for it's gameplay and activities, but it uses the same ubisoft style open world structure.

Ubisoft also makes one of the best looking worlds in gaming industry. Just look at last 4 assassin's creed game and the avatar game.

But it's not like they make masterpieces their games are like 6~7/10. But people online pretend they make wrost game out there.

People should criticise ubisoft where it's rightfully deserved like for their various anti consumer policies.

In the end i think ubisoft is a company with terrible management and talented devs and actively wishing for it to close down is weird since it employs like so many devs i think people should just ignore their games if they do not like it.

One of the worst optimizations for a PC port

This company deserves to go bankrupt. How can they justify asking people for an RTX 4090 for 60 fps at 4k, that too with upscaling. I am able to play most games at 4k 144fps on my 4080 super. But guess what, I need to upgrade for this 2nd rate remake. We all know this company is good for nothing, but this is a new low.
