Was on the way to say farewell to Lloyd when we had to stop and talk to the curious fellow intently inflating dozens of balloons solo.
Sure enough, it was our friendly neighborhood Chuck Palahniuk doing his part to keep Portland weird.
Never change Chuck! And thanks for blowing up some red balloons for our daughter. I look forward to showing her Fight Club (many years from now) and telling she met the author on Lloyd’s last day.
Just got done walking around Lloyd on its final day and, though the outpouring of Llove was extremely celebratory, the MASSIVE number of people made me deeply nostalgic and mournful for an invaluable Third Space that will be sorely missed.
