Opened my Gmail tonight and while scrolling through the junk, found a contract offer from Mercor for $70/hour! It said that though I hadn’t applied for the role, it took my skills from other applications and matched me.

I’d finally done an AI interview with them Sunday night, not really expecting much. But to my delight and surprise, this came through today. I signed the contract, verified my ID, and am waiting on the background check. The project might be short term but at least I’ll have my foot in. I’ve done a one-time $30 task there in the past.

Any tips from current or former Mercor workers? I started to read the onboarding and it told me to log those hours while I went through it — shocking! I’m used to not being paid for training.

Just got approved after my third AI interview! The second one got cut off right before I finished the written portion, and it's in the area I most want to work, so I plan to retake it. But I'm excited because a few minutes after I finished the latest interview, it said I was approved, and I got an email that I was certified. I completed the profile, ID verification, and skills update, and hope to get matched soon.

I've been working with multiple platforms, trying to ensure I have work available as often as possible. I'm not a coder, so I rely on my other domains/skills. Best wishes to everyone out there. Keep applying; something will turn up if you research and stay prepared.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this thread. I've been waiting to take the Mercor AI interview but did the written assessment today. It seemed fine u til the last section. There were two images I was supposed to annotate using rubrics and prompts. But neither image was visible, and there was no help available. I wrote explanations for why I couldn't complete this and gave examples of the formatting. I'd already spent an hour or more on the written sections. Does anyone know if this will disqualify me? My projects on Outlier and RWS have paused, and DaT shows the “below standards or TOS violation” screen without explanation (though I didn't violate anything I'm aware of or even have QA feedback that wasn't perfect).

Any tips for the AI interview? I've done others, but heard the Mercor one needs to be professional, like a job interview. Just got a new laptop since mine was freezing and wanted to wait for it, so now I hope to complete it this week. Thanks for any answers!
