Hey all so a few weeks ago I was braking hard on my P500s but definitely within its operating range. Anyways, the screw that holds the pedal into the base got pulled out, stripping the female part. The foot plate on top was fine but yeah. I decided then to just move it over to a different mount until I could get a replacement.

Anyways, I emailed Simagic and after a couple pictures they said they’d send me a new plate. Great, but then I noticed, suddenly in the middle of races, the pressure calibration would just change and suddenly my full force couldn’t crack 50%. Something else must’ve broken when it was slightly detached and yeah.

So when I emailed to say yes to the new base plate, I also mentioned this, saying “there’s probably no way I can prove it so I’ll just keep changing the pressure when it happens and hopefully it’ll keep working.”

They replied asking I recalibrate and update the firmware, but after it still did it a couple races later, I told them that didn’t work.

Without asking any more questions, they just shipped me a whole new P500 pedal set. No sending mine back, no deposit, nothing.

Look it was within the legal warranty period and the screws definitely could use some better materials because they strip quite easily, but it took 2 weeks from the first email to receiving my new P500s.

The reason I have Simagic now is because I had a paddle shifter break on my MOZA KS wheel and it took 9 months to get them to fix it after sending the package to them. 9 months where I had no wheel and my $800 investment in their ecosystem was rendered worthless.

Anyways, I know this was long, but thank you. This is the professional service that should be standard with all companies.

Hey all so last week I broke hard and stripped the front screw out of my P500 pedals. Like the female part was stripped. Anyways, I got it out and replaced all of that just moving it over to one of the other set of holes.

Yesterday I was braking and heard a click. Suddenly I couldn’t get to 100% brake pressure no matter how hard a tried. So I adjusted it in the pedal settings of Simagic software.

Then today I heard a click again and suddenly could barely get to 50% brake pressure. I’ve checked the software and it claims I’m only putting 10-15kg of force. I mean I am really bad at visualizing weight so maybe I sound dumb but I’m an average male 20yo on a metal rig with a solid chair; I sorta find that hard to believe.

So am I crazy or is there something wrong? Is it worth trying to RMA it? I don’t think I’m doing anything too out of the ordinary I’m not putting my full strength into these pedals in a regular race. Is there a good way to explain this to Simagic? I already have one report out to them about the screw (although I’m not sure they’ll do anything).

Hey guys so I was curious from those who’ve been around awhile. And sorry if this isn’t an allowed post. Do they do sales on their DLCs in the summer? I know steam usually has summer sales, but does LMU usually join in?

I currently have the base game and that’s it, but I’ve been wanting to expand now I’m climbing in SR and don’t really love the idea of dropping $80 on all the DLCs if I don’t have to if I just wait. Plus I just bought a triple monitor setup (albeit very budget but still) so I am a bit gun shy with spending money on sim racing (for now ha ha).

So, I have set up my immich docker and uploaded well over 2000 photos. Anyway, I recently found my old graphics card (GTX 1660) it figured I could plug it in to do some encoding and help accelerate the machine learning. I ran into some trouble trying to migrate it, as when I originally installed the container from community applications, I selected latest and not CUDA from the repository list thing.

The reason this can’t just be solved by the existing documentation is because that involves docker compose and obviously I’m running the Unraid Community application. Moreover, I tried looking through another post on this sub and it was rather unhelpful.

Anyway, I was curious if anybody has had any experience migrating the non-cuda community application to work with a graphics card, or if I should just redo immich? And if I should just start over, would just deleting the container and its files but not the Postgress database or the immich share save all of the indexing and everything it has already done? What about the user accounts? Obviously the configuration settings would be erased, but I can fix those pretty easily.
