I still use the birthday gift my ex gave me even though I told everyone I threw it away
After we broke up, all my friends kept telling me to get rid of everything that reminded me of her. I acted tough and said I donated or trashed all of it.
Truth is, she gave me this oversized hoodie for my birthday and I still wear it almost every night. It’s stupidly comfortable and somehow became my “bad day” hoodie.
Every time someone asks where it came from, I lie.
I don’t even miss the relationship anymore, but getting rid of that hoodie feels way harder than it should.
