Any parent here with no smartphones?

I’m severely addicted and even more since the last years I spent 6-8 hours every day nursing meaning also on the phone most of the time. My kids are fully screen free but they see me staring at this sh!t all day.

I started to think whether I can manage life without a smart phone just with a smart watch that has SIM card and headphones and obviously computer at home. Anybody did that? I would like to be able to read messages and send voice notes and use maps but I don’t want to be able to scroll.

I’m from Hunagry, a tiny country in Central Europe. We don’t have many black people here and it’s probably even somewhat more common to see dreads on whites, it‘s associated with a subculture of different hippies. Festival people, in the psytrance scene, reggae people, musicians or artists mostly.

I have croched dreads but my 2,5 year old pale blond son also have like 14 locks that formed naturally.

I’m going to states next week and I realised it might bring up feelings in black Americans I’m not aware of.

I feel a bit insecure about it, do we offend someone?
