Hi all I'm 40y/o UK based and peri. Has anyone suffered with the above and felt once the HRT estrogen/progesterone was at the correct dose this went away?

Obviously I'm aware we need our fight and flight as a normal stress hormone HOWEVER I feel like mines permanently on. My body will react to even the smallest amount of stress and I'll become jittery, overstimulated and anxious. I've found so far with my estrogen patches that the 50mcg and the 75mcg is not helping. If anything I feel like it's too much. At the moment I don't feel like it's helping me at all other than controlling my periods timing and with the lower dose my boobs hurt less and I'm less bloated! Hair is growing back slowly which is also good. I'm on mirtazapine to help chill me out in the evening but does absolutely nothing for the anxiety during the day and I've tried other SSRIs and not had much luck. It's definitely hormonal but just don't know how else to calm down this jitteriness

I've also had CBT therapy which has now ended. I've had an iron infusion and my iron is absolutely fine and all my other bloods including thyroid, vitamins D are normal!

So I have gastroparesis have done for many many years (I'm 40 now). Been told by the gastro consultant today that I need to now have a colonoscopy because my inflammatory markers are way too high after a stool test. So after years of rubbish with my stomach my bowels are now an issue. My family is riddled with diverticulitis and my grandfather has bowel cancer and sadly died. So I'm shitting myself (excuse the pun)! I'm not so worried about the actual procedure cause I'll be sedated and I'm fully aware it will be uncomfortable. But I'm more worried about the prep 😩 with gastroparesis and the nausea I get with it I'm worried I won't keep it down or tolerate it. I'm from the UK by the way.

Any helpful tips? I don't want to be sick during the prep, not worried about the other end lol only being sick.
