Help: Traumatic Experience at Vietnam Immigration Officer
I need help on where and how to properly report an immigration officer at the airport in Vietnam. We are currently still waiting to board and I am honestly still shaking while writing this.
An officer manning the scanner machines for boarding passes became aggressive toward my 6-year-old son after the scanner was not working properly and could not seem to capture him correctly. The officer could not communicate properly in English, and instead of using gestures or trying to communicate calmly, he repeatedly pushed my son on the left side of his chest. My child was visibly scared and confused.
I tried to take a video because I wanted proof when filing a report, but the officer also touched me, grabbed my phone, and forced me to delete the video. He even looked through my phone himself to make sure the file was removed. Everything was captured in the CCTV for sure.
This experience was deeply traumatic for our family. We have always loved Vietnam, and this is already our third visit, which makes this even more heartbreaking. But after what happened today, I honestly do not know if we can come back.
If anyone knows the proper authority, airport office, or official channel where this incident can be reported, please let me know.
