Travel to Canada with a service dog

Hello. Has anyone ever traveled with a service dog on Air Canada and entered customs? I am flying for the first time with my dog. I have been approved by the airline everything seems to be OK but not sure if I need anything else when I get to the airport. And I’ve spoken to customs and I have everything ready there too thank you.

I have a service dog question entering Canada from the US

I have a service dog and I’ve had no problem flying with him inside the United States. However, flying into Canada seems to be a little bit more complicated. On the customs website it says that I need to have a certification from a very specific organization that my dog is trained. Turns out my trainer is not certified by that organization. So if I fly with my dog as a service animal on Air Canada, but then I get to customs and I say it’s just my regular pet, will that work? Or will customs know that I just flew with a service animal? any help will be appreciated because my dog is small enough to be on my lap but too big to be under the seat and I am not checking him into the luggage compartment.

Flying with a pet LA to MTL

Hi 👋 has anyone ever flown with a pet ton air Canada and got denied? I was given carrier specifications by the travel agent and they seem to be smaller than other airlines. And I’m nervous about booking a flight with my Small dog and getting to the airport and they turn me away because the pet carrier is 11 inches tall and they told me on the phone It had to be 8 inches tall. They also told me they checked to see if the animal can stand up, turn around but my dog can lie down in it and he could stand up but he would push the top of the carrier up. Anyone have any feedback? Thank you so much.

Food advice please

My first doxie 🥰 Is it possible to ask what food you are feeding your doxie? Mine has a sensitive stomach he is 10 months . Don’t think he can fully digest kibble and something is up when he eats chicken or turkey (diarrhea, allergies?) so I have him on honest kitchen grain free beef with petstaurant beef and butternut squash topper. His poop has gotten much better. But I want to change his food at 12 months, I hear it’s not good to keep them on the same food forever and I am not sure what protein to do next. I also hear to avoid rich and fatty protein like salmon , liver , etc . Any advice you have I would welcome!
