Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed a kind of humming/rumbling noise when driving my car. The faster I go, the louder the noise gets. It seems to be related to vehicle speed rather than engine RPM, so I’m wondering if it could be a wheel bearing or something similar.

I haven’t really worked on this kind of issue before, so I’d appreciate some advice on how I can diagnose it.

Also, where would you recommend buying a replacement wheel bearing, and roughly how much should I expect one to cost?

The car is a 2001 Honda Civic ES8.

Has anyone here done the MSc in Computer Science at UCSC?

I’m trying to get an idea of what to expect from the aptitude test, especially the topics/modules covered and the type of questions asked. So far, all I know is that it includes both MCQs and essay-type questions.

If anyone has done the test before or has any past papers/resources, I’d really appreciate any guidance or leads.

Guys need some help with my Civic ES8 (2002) CVT.

Today while driving suddenly check engine light came. After that car became very slow like stuck in low gear/limp mode. Pressed accelerator but RPM not really going up and speed was slowly dropping.

Then I turned off the car and started again. It became normal for a little while. After some time same thing happened again and the car started jerking/jumping like 4-5 times while driving. Car also shakes while driving now.

No overheating. But I did notice some burning oil smell too.

Anyone faced this before? What could be the problem and what can I do?
