What's your favourite relatable movie as an ugly person? For me it's Midnight Cowboy

An all round amazing movie featuring two outcasts who find eachother. I relate to the character who has a disability & is not attractive.

Does anyone obsessively take pictures & look in the mirror ??

My face is like a car crash I cannot look away from. I'm horrified by it every single day & the more I look the worse it gets.

Ugly people are basically banned from being on TV, movies and advertisements.

I rarely see ugly people on TV unless it's a real life story, tragedy or to be made fun of.

In movies even the extras are attractive & ugly people are used in a negative way (villian) or to boost the attractive actors image.

Ugly people are almost entirely banned from the advertisement industry.

People will do anything not to look at ugly people.

Being attractive = Power

The power to choose who you want to date. The power to choose friendships. The power to move up in life through good social ties in a workplace.

I don't believe you can be truly happy as an ugly person.

If I achieve good grades & land a good job I'm still looked down on therefore never respected. If I got married I'd be the ugly wife that he isn't attracted to deep down. If I had kids I'd be the ugly mother they would dread to grow up & look like.

Being ugly is like having a chronic disease. It sucks the joy out of everything you do & never leaves you alone.

If someone is sick, in poverty, bullied etc they get sympathy.

If your ugly it's hard in itself but even if you get sick no one cares. I often get blamed for my issues or told "Life is tough."
