Hello all. I went through a lot of illness and loss the past few years since Covid. Including the closing of my business and losing our home. We had to relocate to an entirely different state. Life goes on. I waited until I was well enough in my joints and body to start working again, part-time as an aesthetician.

I’ve been looking for years for a dream space and finally it arrived. Perfect location, perfect size, part of a salon so great referrals just all around fantastic.

Initially the room is a share. I met the other aesthetician and she’s absolutely lovely. However, not much longer after moving in the other aesthetician has decided to leave. She’s having financial problems, family, problems, Etc. Of course I have the option to take the room full-time, which is what I want. But unfortunately, I’m very certain of the fact that I cannot handle that. Physically, mentally, financially, I have Lyme disease and it’s just too hard for me.

The salon owner is going to look for another aesthetician to work part-time in the space so I’m gonna have to share again but with someone new this time. And frankly, I’m quite nervous about it. Actually, I really don’t want to have to share.

However the prices and location for rent is difficult. This one is in a fantastic location, it’s literally perfect but it’s completely out of budget for full-time.

How do you guys cope with sharing a room? That’s my main question. What about the bed that goes in there? The furniture? How do you trust the other people in there with your equipment? Thank you.

I was successfully treated by their team and shocked to have received an email stating they are closing their doors immediately. Anyone know what happened??

Help everyone I moved to a new area, found a rental in one of the most expensive cities, she is charging more than any other spot I did lots of research and I’m confused. I’m only renting one day a week and it’s the same prices as some places for the whole month full time! What do I do? Could use some advice. Thank you.

I am going to rent a room part time and share that time with another esthetician. Obviously I cannot trust anyone and I need to be able to lock up my expensive equipment and supplies when she’s not there, does anyone recommend a rolling shelving unit? Or some other idea? I’ve never shared a room before and I’m not stoked on it but I had to relocate and start over and the prices in this area for a single room is insane and the commute is insane. Thank you.
