1961 Volta Leonora 4000 Berlina

My first attempt at building something actually pretty (a 1960's italian luxury sedan) and my third ever car in the game. What do we think?

I'm sorry, *HOW?*

Beam a Trailer situation is crazy, $60000 for a GRAND MARSHALL?! Crazy work.

I'm car-less and I need your opinion.

So, since I sold what once was my pride and joy, my Hirochi SBR4 and my rusty Ibishu Miramar I had been completely car-less for the last week.

I want a practical car, the SBR4 was anything but practical and the insurance was getting kind of expensive. I refuse to drive something boring, but I don't want to drive something as stiff as, for example, a Hirochi CCF2 or something predictable. These are my options I've seen in Beambook Marketplace.

Ngl, I'm very seriously considering buying either the Grand Marshall or the Pessima Zenith. But what do you think?

Decisions were made

I couldn't save it.

This was my project car, an old Ibishu Miramar. When I saved it from that barn a couple months ago I thought I'd have to deal with seized brakes, rust patches and finding parts.

Should've known better.

This car was beyond fixing, everywhere I touched my finger went through the metal due to the rust, every time I removed a panel it revealed more rusty patches. It just wasn't worth it.

I borrowed that red D35 from a neighbor that was kind enough to let me borrow it, rented a trailer and unceremoniously dumped the Miramar in my nearest junkyard, where tears were shed. The good part is that I got 300 bucks for it.

I still want a project car. I want to restore a (less) rotting classic.

Also, I sold my SBR4, so currently I'm completely car-less. I'll buy the daily first, so you guys can recommend what daily I should buy down below!

Someone tell me if I'm going bananas.

Hello! For those who don't know, I currently own two cars: A 1966 Ibishu Miramar and a 2021 Hirochi SBR4. (Both pictured here).

The Miramar is my project car, but it's worse than I thought. It doesn't have an engine or transmission, the rats that lived in it bit trough most of the wiring harness and the chassis has the structural integrity of a wet communion wafer due to the rust.

The SBR4 is my daily, it has been the (almost) perfect ccompanion, surviving California road trips, track days, Lake Farsoe winters and Tail of the Dragon. But I need to face it, maintenance, insurance and parts are getting "exotic car" expensive, and the Miramar proyect is draining my wallet, besides it just isn't equipped to be practical in this weather and this butget.

I need a change, but I'd rather swim from Jungle Rock Island all the way to Belasco to be seen driving a CVT Sunburst or a basic Gavril Vertex.

Then, I saw a JDM Ibishu Pessima Zenith Touring-R on Beambook Marketplace and I've been obsessed; 4WS, AWD and a 2.0 V6 that screams at 8000 RPM got me going.

So. Selling the SBR4 to buy the Pessima would feel like betraying an old friend, but it would leave me with an interesting daily and cash to save the Miramar... Except the Miramar is nearly impossible to save. Now I ask you: Am I going insane for considering trading a nice entry-level supercar over a 90's sedan, all to save an old car that belongs in the scrapyard? What should I do?

The daily

Borrowed a photo studio from a friend, the result is some beauty shots of my daily.

I'm also thinking about selling it, might get an Ibishu Yoru (Or thinking about importing a Pessima Zenith from japan, idk).

Bought the daily drunk, bought the engine-less rustbucket sober. (Meta: New Character Introduction)

Hey everyone! I’ve been living down by Lake Farsoe for a few years working as a junior mechanical engineer, so I figured it’s finally time to show my face. (Meta: new to roleplay and Reddit, so some advice would be nice)

My name is Tomás Vélez Echeverri, and since I’m single with no kids, my somewhat modest salary allows for some highly questionable automotive choices. My daily is a red Hirochi SBR4 2.5L with the plate "GAB0 27" (a nod to Gabriel García Márquez). It started as a sketchy, drunk 3 AM Beambook Marketplace purchase from Belasco with a catastrophically spun rod bearing, but after a total engine rebuild with lots of swearing and a lot of road trips, mountain passes and track-days, a car that I originally thought was ugly in design has managed to win my heart.

On the other side of the driveway is another financial ruin: a $250 barn-find Ibishu Miramar I dragged from a neighbor's property. The chassis has the whole structural integrity of a piece of plastic cheese because of the rust, no engine or transmission and the rear seat is currently occupied by a loving family of four (they are rats).

I have an ungodly amount of structural welding and parts-hunting ahead of me, so if anyone near Farsoe or Firwood has spare Miramar parts or a heavy-duty welder I can borrow, I'll give you a whole basket of BeamBrew cans!
