UCSD Data Science Vs Comp Sci minor

incoming freshman majoring in business economics. ucsd is well ranked in both subject areas and as i plan for fall 2026; i wanna be deadset on a minor i'd meaningfully pursue. if necessary, pros and cons would be appreciated - otherwise, let me know which is the better option for career prospects.

interested in entrepreneurship, accounting, marketing

1 year UC transfer question

If UC applications are due November 31st, and final exams for Fall 2026 take place during December, how will the colleges evaluate our GPAs?

having only 1 quarter grade to submit is stressful enough, but 0?

Math 20A professor recommendation

David Quarfoot or Michael Holst? Pls. i took many dual enrollment courses and ratemyprofessor has never failed me --- but they both have similar/intimidating reviews so I'm not sure whom to trust. :)

extracurrciular activity advice

as a 1-year ucsd -> la/cal transfer, i was wondering since the timeframe to replace all high-school activities is so LOW, and also since I know many people reuse specfiic prominent activities from their past on their transfer app --- do you have to reword those?

I spent a lot of time during 1st-year apps to ensure my activities section was perfect and I still really like the way I worded my activities

can i just copy and paste, or is it recommended to reword.

senior-level transfer UCSD to UCLA help

SOLVED

i am so incredibly confused with this transfer process.

i'm an incoming 1st-year ucsd student studying business but very insistent that UCLA/Berkeley's business programs are more compatible with my goals. however due to dual-enrollment credit + AP, i'm placed in senior-level transfer standing which prevent me from applying to UCLA on the application site.

Fyi: despite being "senior-level," i am still incredibly behind with units related to my core courses (micro, macro, calc, etc) --- my units instead lie within the GEs (english, history, art, etc).

So like, is this the end of the road for UCLA and do i only apply to berkeley? I don't get why being classified senior-level integrate such limited opportunities even though i haven't even started college yet.

Help is greatly appreciated.

distressed teen with broken g7x. Advice needed

a day before my flight to china (on the 7th) , i went hiking and fell into a pond with my canon g7x (no salt water) 💔. given my lack of experience, i immediately attempted to turn it on which made everything 100x worse.

I’ve accepted i would need to buy a new camera and was wondering if i should buy one in shanghai china, tokyo or osaka japan, or seoul korea

looking for: A camera that can take good flash pictures. No Body size preference however I really cherished the small body of the G7X. $650 or under.

TLDR: broke g7x, on vacay in china, korea, japan. what camera to buy for pictures. And where to buy. $650 or less hopefully.
