Manual steering gear

Manual steering gear

My 4x4 1980 pickup originally had no power steering. Somebody at some point in time added a power steering pump. One part of the pump had to be grinded off to fit on the bracket (it’s really close to the distributor). In fact when I changed the pump, I asked some questions on here about why I couldn’t get it to bolt on, looked at the old pump and realized they had grinded part of it down. So I put a new pump on it, new gear box, all of the steering components replaced. I still have about 2-3” of play in my steering wheel and it’s slop in the remanned gear box. On top of that, the high pressure hose (also replaced) won’t screw into the gear box far enough to make the flare seat fully. I realized it was leaking last night… I’m about ready to get a manual gear box off of eBay and say fuck the power steering. The only thing is that the manual gear box on eBay says it’s for 79-85 and rockauto has different parts numbers for most of those years (rock auto also does not currently have any gear boxes). I’m at a loss. Idk what to do. Thought about hi-steer but you need at least a 3” lift I think… I just put OME 2” lift kit on it… I just want my steering to not be so sloppy! Mostly just road driving btw. Any help/insight is appreciated.

I have low water pressure/volume in the bathtub of my kids bathroom. It's the closest faucet to the water heater. I replaced the shower valve and I think it helped a bit but I believe the cartridge started getting clogged and the pressure/volume of water went back down. That was about a year and a half ago.
Put in a new faucet on the sink today. Pressure/ volume went down quickly, I took out the aerator, and there was debris in it. Ran water into a bucket and debris in bucket. (Never had a problem with that sink before or any other fixtures in the house just fyi.) does this sound like sediment coming from the water heater or can copper pipes degrade? Not sure why it's only affected the one bathroom would it be because the water heater is closest to that bathroom? If it is the water heater can I drain it to get the debris/mineral deposits out? Change out anode? I believe it's about 6 years old and never been drained. Been in this house for about 2 and a half years. It's a gas rheem if that matters. Bought another cartridge today but don't wanna put it in and it immediately get clogged at $80 a pop... any insight would be greatly appreciated
