IVF, Low AMH & Scarring

Hi everyone,

Feeling a bit lost with a recent diagnosis and I’m wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation. Not sure what it is I’m exactly asking here but to hear a shared experience would be helpful I suppose. I’m currently experiencing secondary infertility and have been having various scans & blood tests done as it’s my 3rd loss (2 consecutive in Nov 2025 & March 2026 and 1 back in 2023 before I successfully had my wonderful daughter in 2024). She was undiagnosed breach and I had an emergency c section after full dilation to 10cm.

In the last month I’ve gone private for pelvic scans which looked normal but also a Hycosy scan which was inconclusive but suggestive of scarring (the dye didn’t reach my tubes and seemed to have little effect on my uterus). The consultant said they would regard me as someone with significant obstetrics trauma so scarring makes sense. I also only have one tube which I lost because of an appendix rupture back in October. My AMH is very low at 2 pmol. Despite this I have got pregnant on our first attempt in both September 2025 and January 2026, but both miscarried around 6/7 weeks after initially seeing a heartbeat. Right now the odds feel incredibly stacked against me and im fighting a losing battle.

An IVF clinic has suggested that I have one cycle with chromosome testing and if successful, then have my hysteroscopy before transfer. Like probably most people, I never thought we’d have to go down the IVF route but here we are. I think we will give it one go and see what happens while also keeping expectations low and realistic. The consultant has said I’d be lucky to get 2 eggs so it’s very hard to be optimistic!

Does this seem like the right road to be going down? In many ways I feel like I’m flogging a dead horse but I also want to feel like I’ve tried everything and left no stone uncovered so I have no future regrets.

Any input would be much appreciated ❤️
