i was just informed by my mom she’s doing a hysterectomy in 2 days…i was completely blindsided and sort of spiraling. she has a lot of fibroids and she said it’s on her uterine lining and so she needs to do it. she already takes high blood pressure meds and has never had surgery. i’m trying not to be upset at her for not telling me but i’m just so frazzled legit learnt about this 30mins ago. can anyone please talk me down from spiraling. what can i do to help her process be easier? what’s recovery like? she’s also late 40s if that adds anything. please please help me out i’m in my early twenties and all my mom has so ill be in charge helping w her recovery
